I'll agree with invites, it just seems a little ignorant if you ask me. Just a couple of clicks on a inbuilt function... How about actually asking me, give me a reason to join, am I missing something awesome that would make me want to stop playing what I am right now and start playing? "Hey dude, come play, there's a guy raging on mic chat and its hilarious" or something. Don't just click invite...

Camp callers annoy the shit out of me; its a legit tactic, your own fault for not checking round the corner before running round blindly and tripping over my knife.

And while I appreciate mic spamming 12 year olds can be annoying as shit but the people shouting them are even more annoying, whats worse high pitched 12 year old shouting or 5 people shouting at them for it? I've been in games before where kids have suggested good ideas and had the shit ripped out of them for it, seems silly to me...

Yup i get that one alot too, the ps3's party system, but i figure one rant per person unless your feeling coy~
I'm more cheeky than coy. ;)

Part of what makes it so bad is if I'm not doing a game specific party, I leave my party chat options open. So you can join the damn thing without an invite. You don't NEED to invite me to your own.

And if I am in a game, those are private for a reason and I'm probably not wanting to be bugged at that point. It's like, JEEZ!

I don't know the PSN's party system, because I only have like, two friends who even own one, so I don't tend to need to use it.

The major one - when people who contributed the least complain that we lost the match.

The minor one - when you're entire squad in Bad Company 2 consists entirely of snipers. Yay diversity!

Teammates who decide to shoot you in the back for no apparent reason.

Getting kicked from a game by your team when you have the most kills. I still don't understand that one. They were losing before I joined the game and I have a really great run that got us closer to tied and then I got kicked out. WTF?

People who you play a game with once online and after that they think you are best friends.

I find it extremely annoying when people don't get their way in a game, and they start sabotaging other people on their team.

A little earlier tonight I was teamed up with three of my friends on Halo Reach. We decided to do multiteam matchmaking, so that two would be on one team and and the others on another and we would face 4 other teams. Well it kept spitting out Rocket Hog Race and since that is a 3 per team game and every time we had to play it, one person had to be the odd-man-out and be on a team with two strangers.

Well I got teamed up where one member of the team didn't want to play this particular game. So first, it auto-placed him as the driver, so he kept running into walls and rock-faces until the other teams blew us up. Then when it put him in the rocket-turret position he would try and fire down to throw off my driving. I was able to drive through one point circle despite him doing that, but then one of his rockets flipped us and we landed in the deep water, which of course means automatic warthog explosion, which killed us and counted it as me betraying my team, which in turn gave the guy sabotaging me the ability to kick me from the game, which he did and I had to wait for my friends at the lobby while they had fun and finished the round.
oooooh I'm sorry to tell you this but your friend if kindda a douch....
You got it all wrong, it wasn't my friend doing that. My three friends where all in a warthog together. As I said, I was the odd-man-out that had to be teamed with two strangers. It was one of the strangers that was being a douche.

My two main gripes:

People who never go for the objective and treat every online match like a deathmatch. Seriously, go to deathmatch mode if that's what you want, stop making us lose by rushing the enemy.

Secondly: Snipers who scan one spot of the map and never. fucking. move. If you camp you're gonna get seen, keep moving every so often and keep looking for targets, that one building's not going to contain all the bad guys. Truth be told though, if they're on the opposing team it's fun to keep counter-sniping them until they get the hint. Bonus points for doing it with an M16.

"Hey, I know you're eager to get this Left 4 Dead game started, but I think I'll go attend to some personal business IRL and stare at this Safe Room wall. Don't worry though, I'll be back just in time to watch you all bleed out and die."

EVERY. DAMN. TIME.

Also, a Friends List-based peeve is people inviting me to play games which I don't own. It's even worse when they KNOW I don't own it.

I'm with the OP about game invites. I hate the idea that some random wants me to just drop everything I'm doing to enter a game I'm not even playing. Another thing is getting spam messages about "free" Microsoft Points; got one from a "friend" the other day, and I dropped his ass.

people who complain that the most logical choice is the pooest show of skill
in halo for example the needler is considered a noob gun for homing rounds
it is well balanced for an easy to use gun
its not even game breaking like the call of duty's imfamous noob tubes
the shots are so slow so they're easy to avoid
they can't damage vehicles
there is a daly before any damage is one

Me: "Legitimate criticism of team strategy!"

Them: "Lol shut up, look at ur k/d ratio"
Them: Yeah, you only have a 1.5 k/d, unlike my l33t sniping/camping skills that have a 24 k/d. The l3@derb0@rd is glitched if your thinking you have a higher score. Those 15 captures and 20 defends DON'T COUNT!

People who invite me into part chats on XBL, then boot me from the party even though nobody in the chat was talking.

People who invite me to play online when I just want to play something single-player.

Wait pvp happens in tol barad in pve servers don't they? On my server ALL horde attack alliance and vice versa. I always do dailies with a friend to make sure we can take out all horde competition in TB peninsula.
I think we have specific times when it is PvP and times that it's not. I don't for sure since I'm a fairly new lvl 85 :p

Either way, I tend to try and help out anyone who is getting overwhelmed by monsters regardless of faction. It's just some are more grateful than others

With ps3 you have to be invited to join in on a chat but it doesnt stop people from sending you a blillion invites to thier chat for no reason

People who tape their mics to a stereo and play Ke$ha music (the 5th worst type of music IMO) louldy for the entire match.

EDIT: forgot one, anyone who utters the words "get a life" while at the same time they are lvl 85 or septuple prestige or end the game with a 95/0 k/d, really, I need to get a life when I am the one who plays online once a month and you are perfecting your skills over a 6 week period of doing fuck all?

People who beg for items. Usually found in MMOs in my case, and it varies between games, but it's usually a fast-track ticket to my wrath. Common item? Fuck off and go find it yourself. Rare item? You have my sympathies, but its rare for a reason... So fuck off and go find it yourself.
