Let's say you are walking somewhere, and some government official comes to you and says he's conducting some survey. He gives you a card worth 1000(insert your country's currency here). Think like a universal gift card. The condition is that you have to spend all that money in 24 hours, or the card becomes useless. You can't save it. It has to be spent. How will you spend the money?

Yes, the scenario is silly, but I wanted to try and get rid of the "How" and "Why".

Edit: If 1000 of your currency isn't worth much (like can only buy a meal or something), make it equal to about 1000 US Dollars.

Considering alcohol or smokes aren't a major part of my daily life and when on special occasions they do, I spend money on them anyway..I don't see why I should use my "special" 1000 pounds on it.
