For me that would be like $90, and I would probably buy a pair of books. But if I had $1000 US Dollars I would just try to spend it along with the rest of my money to move out of the country where I live on.Mr. Omega said:

I would save them. As I ALWAYS do, seriously esxcept from buying food I never spend money. I got enough gift certificates to buy 3 games, when I walk into a game store i just look at the shelfs for about 5 minutes say "meh" and walk out. I can get 3 games for FREE, but i don't 'cause it feels like spenindg.
shake the hand of the goverment official and thank him then go buy 2 xbox games and round trip tickets for 1 day in new york, go see a broadway show, eat at a Nice resteraunt, go walk in Central park then take in a view of the city at night from atop the empire state building before jumping on the plane and heading home......and of course it goes without saying I take a ton of pictures one of which is of this card I've been given
I will spend it on some stocks that I predict will rise slightly in the coming time. After the stock increases, I sell. I will then put my profit money in a high-interest 1-year CD. Presto! Loophole! Chances are, by that time, none of that money was any of my starting money.
Buy my student myki (sort of like a year-long train ticket) for this year - that'd take up around $400 or so. With the remaining money, I'd invest in a decent graphics card, buy a couple of games, and get all four of the Absolute Sandman volumes. All things that I want but can't bring myself to buy until I've got my myki. And probably not even then.
