I'd bring the Warlord Titan from Warhammer 40,000 FireWarrior.
Sure, in the game it may just be scenery, but it still counts.
Best of all, it is a weapon, a tool, and a character
3-in-1! And it kicks ass! shields enough to survive quite a bit.... not sure how much.
On-board plasma reactor/s, weapons systems to destroy an army...

Tool/Weapons: Toss up between the Portal Device and Turrets. The Device would just be great to have, but it might be severely limited by what it can and can't be used on. Turrets would be more efficient than dogs at home security, be far cuter, and require less work.

Character: I'll have to think on this one, actually... Maybe Areis from FFVII, just to shut the fanboys/girls up? No, Sepiroth. So he can kill them all.
