Wait! I know what to do. I take number one*, because then I have the ability to know that I "lost" my soul mate when I start looking for them and pass them by. Then I just have to go find them.

WIN FREAKING WIN BABY!

*Side note, you can still go down to the dump and get something back. I know I did once with a friend.
How did your friend end up at the dump?

I'd sure like to find that towel that I caught on fiddy's gig, but otherwise I've lost so little stuff, that I'll definitely go with the second one.

Ah, brings back memories of when Family Guy didn't suck.
Indeed, that show blows now.
Can you believe that, on the DvD commentaries Seth Macfarlane says that he thinks the show has never been better?

Here's my graph of the quality of the show, Mr. Macfarlane.

Season 1 : Good [---0-------------------] Bad
Season 2 : Good [---0-------------------] Bad
Season 3 : Good [---0-------------------] Bad
Season 4 : Good [--0--------------------] Bad
Season 5 : Good [-----------0-----------] Bad
Season 6-Present : Good [-----------------------]B-a-d----------------0

Thank god American Dad still rocks.
I think picture explains it well too.

Op! Turns out what I lost was my soul mate. That's a two-fer right?

I think I'll take the "lost" ability and make a healthy living helping the police find missing persons.

we thought his step father (who was rather abusive really in that subtle way) was joking when he said if we ever threw something out with out his permission we'd have to go to the dump and get it back. So we tested him and threw out one of his credit cards (we were 13 at the time) and he blindfolded us and said we were going somewhere else (I think he said some mall, I cant really remember) and just drove us to the dump, told us to get out and find the credit card and drove off while we just stood around taking off the blindfolds.

In Bruges...ah, how I enjoy that film.

Anyway, I would pick the first one, it just seems more practical.

The first. I don't know about soulmates and such, but I've already met the "one person" in the world for me. While we had a good few years together, we fell out of love. In hindsight, I should have fought more to stay with her, but I'd rather see her happy and that just wasn't being tied down with me.

Also, I tend to lose stuff all the time :p

I'd rather have the thing that lets me know where everything I lost is. And you say the downside is that I would know if I threw it away too? I say that's another plus. I hate looking for something, not being able to find it, and starting to wonder if maybe I threw it out. Or maybe it's still here and I should keep looking. Being able to know for sure would be great, because at least then I could end my search.

And for #2... I don't care about this "soulmate" concept. I could explain, but instead, I'll just drop this Chris Rock clip and say I agree 100%.
Video Quality sucks, but you can still hear what he's saying just fine.

Family Guy didn't suck? Could have fooled me. I watched a few episode of it before it got canceled, and it wasn't a shock to me at all that they pulled the plug. When they said they were bringing it back, on the other hand...

The first one. I don't know how often I'd use that, but the second one is completely useless.

Definatly the first one, I don't throw things out then try to find them later. If it's in the dump, that's where I want it to be.

I'd prefer to meet my soulmate through some good choices and hard work on my behalf, much more satisfying that magic.

To the people saying "I lost my soulmate! That counts as both!" well,no. The first one just tells you where something is. "My lost soulmate is over there!" would not help you anyway. Also, for the people who say they don't believe in soulmates, just pretend for the sake of argument.

Man, I really don't know. They both aren't great. Firstly I have my girlfriend who I wouldn't want to swap with for an apparent soul mate that's likely nothing will happen with, but I don't really lose stuff a lot. If the first one was the ability to find any lost things (not just my own) then I could make a living from it. I guess I'll have to accept defeat and go with the ability to find lost items.

Speaking from experience, soul mates is a load of manure. It all comes down to finding people you are compatible with and making due. It's not romantic but it works and I love my fiance and she loves me. I constantly misplace my keys so yeah I'm definitely picking up that little perk.

seems like a bit of a catch 22. soulmates are not really for me, anyway, it always ends up not being true. neither, then, because i don't lose things, and i am content as i am

The second one. If there's a chance I can find my soulmate, then I'm gonna take that chance.
