I would have the powers of a planeswalker, my colours, blue, green, and red. That covers teleportation, time manipulation, shape-shifting, elemental control, immortality and minions. Also dimensional travel. Not picking it because its on the op side but picking it because it would be fun.

So the question here is pretty simple, if you can choose one super power, which one do you choose and why? My choice would definitely be to be able to pause and unpause time. Really, the only way anything could defeat you is if they got the drop on you. Any situation that you're aware of you could just pause and you'd have all the time in the world to solve the problem. You'd be an unstoppable superhero or supervillian. Not to mention all the pranks you could pull off.

Anyway, what would be your choice?
Quoted for my answer, that was always my dream superpower to have was Time manipulation.

For my second choice, I want to be able to project my memories outside of my body so I can watch it like a movie. This mostly came about after having an argument with my room-mates and none of them remembered saying the thing that caused the fight in an earlier conversation a week ago. So this way I could show a little memory-clip of the conversation and I wouldn't have three girls yelling at me that I'm wrong all the time when half the time I'm honestly not

I want to be perfectly fluent and natural speaking in each and every language - most useful skill ever, in that I can talk to anyone in the world. It would be even better if it included sign languages, body language, esoteric schematics, codes and cyphers.

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again (soon, judging by the frequency of these threads here.....)
The power I'd want is the ability to bring fictional characters in to reality, with the caveat that the characters I summon are fully loyal to me.
Question is, do I start by bringing Superman, Son Goku & Captain Marvel in to existence first, or do I bring the old wizard Shazam first, have him give *me* the powers of Captain Marvel and then summon Superman & Son Goku?

The ability to painlessly shape-shift onto animals a la Supernatural skin-walker (meaning I still have control and the animal sensibilities to help), there's some applicable ways to lose weight or travel for free that way, I'm sure there's other things that I can't be bothered to think this could help with at the moment.
Captcha: be nimble. be quick. Yeah, that too.

Or the power of fashion.

The power to completely manipulate my entire body any way I want. I want super strength? done. Super speed? done. No longer age? done. If I no longer want to live because life is cruel? I can do that. I could also change my body into the form of anything.

It's kind of a catch all.

Unlimited Telekinesis.

Telekinesis with an unlimited energy source.

That way you could create completely impenetrable force fields, fly infinity, lit/move/throw anything regardless of size, rip anything in half regardless of density and anything/everything else you can do with telekinesis taken to it's maximum extreme.

I'd like to be able to transform...not exactly into anything, but into something frightening and powerful, so I can still live a normal life while being able to defend myself and my loved ones.

And being a monster would be a nice change of pace.

Infallibility.

First thing I say would be: "All things I say would take effect based on how I feel they should, so I will never need to be specific about anything."

Second: "Nothing I say or do will ever have negative consequences for me or anyone I care about."

Third: "I am unkillable and unharmable. Only I and I alone can choose the moment of my death or when I am ever harmed."

Done. The universe is MINE.

There are definitely quite a few changes I would make around me >:)

Good question. I could go with reality warping, but what I'd probably end up doing is give myself miscellaneous powers and lock away the rest of my power for emergencies only.

Teleportation would be convenient, but it'd make things... less interesting. I like travelling, even if it takes a while sometimes. Short "flash steps" would be nice, though. But not, like, burst of speed flash steps, but short-range teleportation.

Regenerative, unaging immortality would by good to have, but only if I get to die eventually somehow, preferably of my own free will. Like, I can only die through suicide. Living through the apocalypse would be... problematic. Also, living on after being chopped in half would suck, too, so I'd have to regenerate that...

I would like Misaka-style electric powers, but they might mess with my electronic and magnetic devices and objects a bit. Still, it'd be cool to launch a coin like a railgun, though I don't think it'd have much application in this day and age.

Shapeshifting, on the other hand, would have many possible applications. Besides, I would be able to look however I want to look. It'd be pretty nice.

Another thing with tons of applications: the ability to mimic and copy things that I see other people do, perfectly. That'd be super awesome for a guy like me, who hates practicing. XD

Really, I can't decide...

Chronicle style telekinesis.

Or enhanced memory and all it encompasses according to the power page on the super power wiki.

Omnipotence. What? It's a legitimate super power.

Fine. I'll take the powers of the Flash and I don't mean streaking. I mean, the guy can move and react at near light speed and even break the laws of physics, he really should be more feared.
Flash is the most powerful being in the entire DCU. The faster he runs, the more dense his body gets and the more heavy his punches become. If he reaches a fast enough velocity, his punches would have the same impact of being hit with all the mass in the entire universe.

Trivia.
Uh... can't Superman use the Infinite Mass technique too? and has super-strength on top of it?
Flash is faster than Superman, so he could use the effect but not to the same degree.

My first choice would be teleportation. It's too bad I can't have invulnerability to go with it, because then I could teleport around the universe without worrying about getting killed. I could stand on the surface of Mars or even Venus. Hell, why not go beyond the solar system? But no, I'll settle for just being able to teleport around the earth. I have friends I'd like to visit.

If I had to make another choice, it'd be the ability to pause and un-pause time. I mean, hey, I can sleep in every morning/take naps before going to work!

Invulnerability.

Think of all the awesome things I could do!

I could jump out of airplanes without a parachute.
I could run through traffic.
I could calmly walk through burning buildings.
I could rewire my house without turning off the electricity.
I'd never need to use oven mitts ever again.
I could go to Africa to pet the adorable lions.

I could do everything normal people are afraid of doing.
You could be locked into a stone coffin for centuries, slowly going insane in the dark, unable to end the torment...
You could watch everything you care about rot into dust...
Being safe yourself doesn't do much in my opinion unless it is also paired with the ability to act.
Invulnerability isn't immortality, it doesn't stop aging, so I would still die of old age.

It's a tough call between teleportation and time manipulation - both would be insanely useful.

Think I'm gonna have to go with teleportation.

Its a weird kind of invulnerability that would not protect from the kind of cellular degradation that marks aging of the body. Its just another source of physical harm.

Absence of bodily fatigue.

I'll never grow tired, never get exhausted, never need sleep, never age. It'd be awesome.

Superman has the power of invulnerability and still ages.
