My first thought was red panda, but that would imply that it's something other than silly and adorable.

So my answer would be a tiger. I would name him Hobbes, and we would snuggle, ride around, climb shit, and it will be the closest I would ever be to having an Arcanine.

Oh, how I wish I could have an Arcanine...

A tiger, panther, or some other kind of big cat. I could take him for walks, unleash him on my foes, use him as a cushion. The possibilities are endless.

Failing that, some kind of kickass huge owl.

Not terribly exotic, but I'd love a raven. Smallish, easy to feed, you can teach them pretty complex behaviours and they can learn to mimic speech.

And lots of character! =D

The answer to this question is easy, I would domesticate a dra...

Try breaking into a house guarded by a dragon. It'd at LEAST make enough noise for the police to show up.
Dammit Barbas!

A zeebra, so when people hear hoofbeats, they'll think horses but no, it will be a zeebra.

I would totally love pets such as puma and fennec fox. Their are sooooooooo cute but dangerous. I do not know why I choose feline animals when I am a dog person but I do love my wild cats I guess.

A lion would be cool to have. All these chav wankers with their pit-bulls* and me with a lion - I win, Dazza!

I'd also have a great sign on my door - "I leave my door unlocked, have no weapons and only have a pet cat to defend me." None of that is a lie and I'm assuming that dead-burglar is cheaper than a dead-zebra?

* Yes I realise that pit-bulls can be incredibly sweet if not raised by a complete fuckwit.

Part of me wants to be crass and say something that used to be considered wildlife a century ago... but that would be racist (the Australian kind). Another part of me wants to say Ocelot, because Archer is a show. The (horrible) part of me wants to say Candiru, and the rest of me says BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You get bees, and you get bees, EVERYONE GETS BEES!!!

Hmmm...salt water crocodile?
S'funny, because I was going to suggest that I'd like this animal to be removed from the list- though not exactly domestic, crocodile farms do exist, and I find it really depressing.

I think crocodiles are cool.

Definitely too cool for humans.

Well, honestly, I want the one that's been in the works in Siberia for a while now: The domestic fox.
I know right?! xD I remember seeing a special about those grey foxes, and the breeding studies they're doing for friendliness. It's quite interesting to see the changes taking place as they breed for friendly, how some traits that are historically a dog related trait, are starting to pop up. Things like curling tail, mottled coat in color variations not normally found in the breed. Really cool stuff! xD

OT: I think I'll go for squirrels, because being able to actually become Squirrel Girl (though I'm a guy), would be quite amusing. Though I will forever think first of the woman from The Tick, who was a Squirrel Girl homage. I LIKE SQUIRRELS!!!
Last I'd heard on the matter, the going price to get one and the equipment needed for its care and such was at least a few thousand dollars. But hey, ride the dream. It'll happen more regularly some day.

Also, SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!

OK fuck it, I'm changing my answer to this. That is just too adorable.
Part of my soul has withered and died because I know I will never be friends with one of these.
TFW you will never have a loris bro to give a tiny umbrella to hold ;_;

Why even live.

Like South Park said, I want a pot-bellied Elephant that I can keep like a pet.

Too bad pig and elephant DNA just won't splice.

Tough call, but I'm going with a cheetah, I've always loved those beautiful, graceful animals...
Definitely my answer too.

I would love to have a cheetah. They're amazing animals.

The only issue would be getting a piece of land with enough room for it to run.

Oh I have no illusions that I will ever own a Russian Grey Fox, I just find the studies they're doing into genetic friendliness and domestication really fascinating. xD

The majestic, winged woolly mammoth!

Or, in slightly more realistic terms...ooh so many great choices!...

...A bear? Or a lion with a huge mane. Yes. One of those!

Red Pandas, definitely.
Jesus christ. They're like genetically engineered balls of weaponized cuteness.
