I need to buy some new manga. So if you've got a manga series you like, post its title here and I'll go buy book one to see if it's good. I promise to do that, even if it seems to be awful. Why? In the vernacular of today's youth: For teh lulz. So come on and recommend me an awesome manga!
Oh, and some further explanation:
One recommendation per user. Once you've recommended me one title, I'll ignore any other recommendations from you.
I won't buy it if I've already read some or all of it. So if the first guy or girl to reply recommends Naruto, I won't buy it since I've read it already. Instead, I'll just look at the next guy's post.
I'll only try one new series. If the first post recommends a series I've never tried, I'll buy that one and no more. Unless the bookstore doesn't have that series I've never tried, in which case I'll just take a look at the next post by somebody else and buy his/her recommendation instead.
Just a heads-up: I've already read Death Note, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and One Piece. Just so you won't spend ages thinking about whether I've read it or if you ough to recommend it. (Of course, I've read hundreds of other titles from all genres, so don't think this is an indicator of any particular love of Shonen Jump manga.)
Make sure to check if somebody's posted your favorite already.
Please, no gag recommendations. Only recommend say, some smutty yaoi if you actually like it. But if you do like it, go right ahead.
I'm incredibly broad in my manga tastes, so just recommend your favorite title and don't give a fudge about whether you think I'm the kind of person who can appreciate it.
If you want I can pm you and tell you what I thought about it.
Don't be discouraged by the many replies to this thread; I've read hundreds of manga titles and book one is often sold out, so there's still a chance for the manga you recommend.
Edit: Just now it struck me that if the first poster recommends a manga I haven't read but don't think looks interesting, it'd be possible for me to avoid that by using the Internet to see if it's in and waiting until the bookstore is sold out of it so that I'll get to read something else. To avoid that, I'm going to the bookstore first thing after work tomorrow so that I won't be able to do that.
