Yes Berserk is awesome. With every new volume (34 at the moment) I wish for both of them that they will find a place to live in peace and regain some sanity but I guess that will never happen.

But Berserk is really really sick and I really feel sorry for enjoying to read it. Man those are some poor souls. Well but I guess it could be worse. Bastard!! *cough cough*

I only wish that Miura would release the manga a little bit faster.

I'd also suggest Vinland Saga to anyone who likes Berserk. Since it's the same quality in story with above average art and similar themes but the author actually releases regularly.

It was a toshup between reommending Love Hina or GTO, but I think both series are now out of print. I was then going to recommend Negima, but thats already been suggested. So howabout Domu, its a nice little book by the guy who did Akira. I won't actually go into why its so awesome in case I tell any spoilers. Just go and read, you can see the evolution of ideas that would come to fruition with Akira.

Bartender. It's slice-of-life and episodic, but I just love the main character so much. He swings between smooth and silly without swinging too far in either direction. But I would be surprised if Japan's bartenders really were that classy and perfectionist.

Why the "Oh wait"? Several manga versions of Batman have been published in English. One of them is like the Adam West series from the sixties except played straight and without the ridiculousness, and with cooler villains.
