You get to greenlight a sequel to any game that has ever existed. Which game do you choose?

And why? (Please be more specific other than "It's cool." or "I liked it a lot.")

I'd go with Wasteland [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasteland_%28video_game%29]. I'd like to see Fallout's spiritual predecessor make a modern day return to give it a run for it's money.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Fallout. Always have. But I played Wasteland first, which was then referenced heavily in the Fallout games, so it has a soft spot in my heart. And plus, there can't ever be too many post-apocalyptic shooter rpgs, amirite? ^_^

EDIT: You do not get to choose the devs, or the style of game, it's all in the hands of whoever makes it. you only get to greenlight it.

I add this as I think it may impact some folks decision.

Oh, and also, only one game, please. That's the fun of it, limiting your choices. ^_^

Jade Empire 2.

That was my knee-jerk response. Because I loved the universe, the characters and would love to see another good kung-fu RPG.

Gimme a little while and I might think of another more deserving.

Conker's Bad Fur Day 2, who do I need to stimulate / Murder to get this?!?!

Having said that, a sequel to Split Second wouldn't go amiss, nor would Dead Space 3 [which has been announced hasn't it?]

Dynasty Tactics 2.

That game had some of the best turn-based gameplay I've ever experienced. It isn't too difficult meaning anyone new to turn-based or even people who do not like it can use and become good at it, and once you do become skilled you can pull off very rewarding tactics and combos.

The campaigns were also very unique and long, with branching paths that split off into completely different stories with different characters and endings. There were plenty of officers to use and the game world was olid and there were various things you could do between battles such as recruiting civilians to become officers, training, looking for mystics and fighting other factions.

Also the multiplayer was a blast to play with friends and is one of the greatets multiplayer expereinces I've ever had.

Some things that could be improved in the sequel would be the obvious graphics (which were pretty good for its time), more tactics and an improved multiplayer mode with more customisation in terms of map and armies.

Dragon Age 2......heh heh heh

Probably Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, set around loads of different events, like a marvel 1602 chapter, a secret invasion chapter, maybe even an ultimatum chapter. As these are all different universes that are collapsing (or something wrong with them) you would need the power of The Watchers to gather heroes from the different universes to go into each one and correct it.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
If it hadn't come out the same time as half life it might have totally revolutionized the genre and it would work as a game now if it was simply mordernized and the bugs taken out.

I'd love a sequel to LA Noire, but the controversy surrounding it not crediting all who worked on it and the fact that it's probably been the least praised Rockstar game of the past few years may mean that it will be sequel-less.
Which is a pity because I loved it.

I'd definitely go with Bully (Canis Canem Edit here in Europe).
It's one of the best games I've ever played and I absolutely loved everything about it. Unfortunately it didn't sell all that well partly due to the absolutely ridiculous controversy regarding it's take on violence and bullying among school kids.
In actuality it's quite harmless, but the atmosphere and characters are unforgettable and the gameplay is so much fun.

Swordquest, that contest needs to end and the prized sword given to the gamer willing to fight for it.

This, although would dread/be interested to see a Marvel Zombies world...

Ha, good call. I remember watching an AVGN video about those and thought the same thing. I also realized that an old Atari game my mom and I used to play was one of those, and I never even knew it... or anything about the contest. Then again, I was like, 5, so it doesn't surprise me.

Absolutely agree. I couldn't be more happier than if a sequel to this fantastic game was ever made. Seriously, I don't know why they haven't done it yet.

Half-Life 2! *buh-dum-tsh!*

You guys see that game going around saying it's X-COM? You know what I wish that was? An X-COM game. I love X-COM. I want new X-COM.

A sequel to Jet Set Radio Future?

It's nice to dream.

EDIT: Well if I must explain...

The game just had this awesome feel about it overall. The music was amazing, the character's were well designed, and the Graffiti tags (In my humble opinion) looked like real graffiti. It all worked together to create a gaming experience that I've never felt in any other game

This was going to be my choice, too, but admitting that that other... thing... is an X-COM game is just not feasible for me.

From what I've heard on the Escapist, some other company bought the team that made it.

Honestly, I'm with you as long as they hit their game hardcore with a clean up team and actually make it.... well, work for one. I'm feeling a modern day N.Y. Noire. *cough[sub] Josh Hartnett as the protaginist [/sub]*cough

OT: A sequel or prequel of some sorts to Enter the Matrix.

That was seriously some of the most fun I've ever had in a game.
