I'm looking to build a gaming computer and have relatively little knowlage in the way of computer parts. SO, I have a budget of around 1200 USD, a little over is fine, if you have the time and are so inclined, post a build!

First a few questions.
1. Any brand preferences?
2. Do you already have a display?
3. Any unique features you want? 3D? Eyefinity? Cuda? SSD?
Thanks so much, you guys are so helpful!Bluntknife said:I agree with this guy.emeraldrafael said:Whatever happened to people doing this research on thier own? Chances are if you need help selecting parts you shouldn't be putting it together.
Er, have you even taken a gander up at my list?ThreeDogsToaster said:Thanks so much, you guys are so helpful!Bluntknife said:I agree with this guy.emeraldrafael said:Whatever happened to people doing this research on thier own? On a less sarcastic note, I'll have someone helping my actually physically put it together who knows that they are doing. I just need to figure out what parts I want to put into this thing.
That looks good. I was actually thinking of doing something similar to that except with 4 GB ram and an i5 instead of AMD processor. I've heard conflicting things about AMD and Intel processors. Say intel is always better then AMD in that price range, and some say AMD is better for gaming. I don't know what to believe.Skorpyo said:Er, have you even taken a gander up at my list?ThreeDogsToaster said:Thanks so much, you guys are so helpful!Bluntknife said:I agree with this guy.emeraldrafael said:Whatever happened to people doing this research on thier own? Anyway, the operating system isn't on there, but that's an easy one. Windows 7.
