EDIT: Also, the Holocaust was motivated by a flawed understanding of science, where people considered those of non-white heritage to be less evolved, and sub human.

If you look I never said that it would stop war I said it would prevent a lot of wars, and the people in charge tend to get their followers to do their atrocities for them, and the best way to get people to do these things is, surprise surprise, religion. You can't get the right people to do anything if you tell them "God" wants it done. With out God it would be hard for leaders to find the proper motivation to convince their followers to commit these acts

Even if I agreed with you (there's plenty of other ways that people would use to manipulate others), you also realize that there's a ton of other religions other than the Abrahamic ones, right?
