They may be the most fun to play, other than a properly kitted-out wizard of course.

I personally prefer a nice Evoker. Who needs Necromancy when you can blow up as much as you want before breakfast!drizztmainsword said:What kind of lame DM doesn't let you play monk?Macgyvercas said:I throw it at my DM and scare the shit out of him for not letting me play a monk!

Yes, but a true mage will never even need to use his minuscule number of spells per day because he's too busy raising the dead with one wand, seeing the future with another, and casting fireballs out of this handy little ring he just happens to have on his finger.Piperlyon said:I personally prefer a nice Evoker. That would be hilarious.Zachary Amaranth said:Even better if you're a Mage of some sort. "But I'm in character!"Macgyvercas said:I throw it at my DM and scare the shit out of him for not letting me play a monk!
Except a fighter wouldn't get Quivering Palm, poison and disease immunity, Abundant Step, Perfect Self, Slow Fall, and increased unarmed damage, which are all things I wanted. And he won't let us use hexblades because they aren't in the first Player's Handbook (which then presents the question as to why he won't allow monks).spartan231490 said:Play a fighter and take improved unarmed fighting and two weapon feats, including two weapon defense and improved buckler defense. Or just play a hexblade(ultimate warrior) because hexblades are awesome.
He's not allowing them to be played because he doesn't like them (claims they are OP).drizztmainsword said:What kind of lame DM doesn't let you play monk?Macgyvercas said:I throw it at my DM and scare the shit out of him for not letting me play a monk!

And glove-welder. Fire-glove beam cannon. Fireball greanade launcher (like Infamous' evil grenades, where you shoot them, then they spilt into multiple grenades and explode). And my personal favourite, fire-bending sword.Piperlyon said:and then: fireball finger pistol.Biosophilogical said:Probably just keep it as a fire glove, except put it in 'no clip' mode, so that I don't burn anything with it. Monks aren't OP. Look at the average amount of damage a high-level fighter with magical weapons puts out. A monk doesn't use weapons, he uses his fists, and his damage output needs to be upped in order to match.Macgyvercas said:He's not allowing them to be played because he doesn't like them (claims they are OP).drizztmainsword said:What kind of lame DM doesn't let you play monk?Macgyvercas said:I throw it at my DM and scare the shit out of him for not letting me play a monk!
