You have been given $100 to by games that you've already beaten, or games that are over 5 years old.
What would you buy/recommend, escapist?

Personally I'd run to the book store instead since I need to catch up on some series, but I guess if we have to do games, then The entire Xenosaga series, Resident Evil Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles (the only 2 good resident evils in my opinion), and all the current Disgaea games.

You misspelled buy by the way. I really don't know, probably some old SNES games which I don't have. Can't really say much since I still own many of my preferred older games.

Over five years old? You know what, i'd go grab a second hand N64 and as many games as i could comfortably carry.

Who is Games, and why did they give me $100?

Oh, you meant "buy games". I'm sorry, I couldn't understand over my dickish grammer fascism.

That aside, I would put it away for Skyrim. While Skyrim certainly wont cost that much, I could technically ut it towards a better video card so that I could even play Skyrim.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend Xenosaga to anyone who wasn't into Sci-Fi or RPGs with long cut-scenes (especially if they didn't play Episode 1 and continued to the next two games). Not to say that it's a bad game series; the combat system is great and improves with every Episode, the cut-scenes looks great on the PS2, the story is deep (but very confusing), side missions and hidden unlockables are very rewarding, there's plenty of fun mini-games and A LOT of customization.

The only advice I could give is that if they find the first game (or series) interesting, start with Episode 1: every game starts slow, there's a lot of dialogue and the difficulty curve increases rather quickly. If they enjoy Episode 1, go nuts on the other two installments.

On the other hand,

So is that based on current Resale value or Original ending value? If the later Then ! Copy Of Tomba! and the rest towards a few copies of Suikoden II (NRFB) They sell for alot on Ebay or have before at least.

Just for playing however? Tomba!, Suikoden II, Arrow Flash (If released for current systems) Super Mario RPG(I haven't bought on Wii VC yet.)Can't think of anything Else I'd want I don't still own or want to replay/pay

One of them will be Pokemon Black (I always wanted to start a new team from scratch) and the rest will be the games I had traded away in the past (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Donkey Kong Country Return and Super Monkey Ball etc).

The Pikmin series along with Majora's mask, and I'd still have cash left over to buy some Mario party to fend my sister off with.

Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, all their expansions, and you can spend the ton of money you have left over on punch and pie

Alternately, Good Old Games also has excellent deals. For $100 you could purchase the following games and still have some money left over:

1. Wing Commander: Privateer
2. Psychonauts
3. Fallout
4. Fallout 2
5. Beyond Good and Evil
6. Red Baron pack (contains original game and the Red Baron 3D sequel)
7. Freespace
8. Freespace 2
9. Real Myst
10. IL-2 Sturmovik (all expansions included)

EDIT: Gah, I've been ninja'd...twice. I need to stop taking so long to compose my posts.
