What's 50,000USD. Like ten pounds, yeah?

I'd probably go buy some stickers or something.

Jack Thompson. Don't ask how or why. For all you know, he suffered a bout of temporary insanity (well, more than usual), held a random drawing, and you were the lucky winner. Regardless of the reason, you now have this money, and he asks what you are going to do with it.

So, what do you do? Give it to charity? Intentionally piss him off and buy video games? Invest? Refuse it? The choice is yours, and you're limited only by your imagination.

As for me, I would donate most of it to Child's Play, just to see his face when he sees his money go to buy video games for kids (of course, I'm assuming he doesn't know that CP donates age appropriate video games).

So, let's hear your ideas?
Why do I care that it came from Jack Thompson. He seems like an alright fellow on a personal level. He's just a little misguided about videogames. So thanks for the 50k Jack. My first impulse is actually going to be to try to get him to take it back. This is crazy, here. Provided he insists or I can stifle that impulse I'm going back to school.

Gosh how far would I stretch that glorious paper... I guess I'd have to put most of it in the bank, and cut into it for college tuition, but I'd have to immediately go on a hat buying spree, then get some music equipment, and give some to charity, along with just keeping a wad of ones and fives around to give to street performers and such.

Make a game where you're an escaped mental patient and you have to fight your way through a hospital, orphanage, old folk's home, school, carnival and cathedral to escape.

The plot twist at the end is you're Jack Thompson.

Put it in the bank, what else? I still have at least two years of uni ahead of me, and right now I have pretty much everything I need anyway.

I'd buy a new laptop for myself and everyone in my fam.

Then I'd split the rest between a savings account, a roth IRA, and learning to play the market with.

50k untainted by criminal or immoral activity is a massive blessing, no matter who gives it.

Get a Kinnect, Fable the Journey and Skyrim for PC.
Save the rest to fund my plans for world domination.

use it to buy materials for a house.. Me and dad would do the labour and then wed sell it. we are doing that anyway...but itd be nice to not have a loan involved.

edit: actually now i think about it, it probably wouldnt cover it. but a smaller loan would be nice.
