Jack Thompson. Don't ask how or why. For all you know, he suffered a bout of temporary insanity (well, more than usual), held a random drawing, and you were the lucky winner. Regardless of the reason, you now have this money, and he asks what you are going to do with it.

So, what do you do? Give it to charity? Intentionally piss him off and buy video games? Invest? Refuse it? The choice is yours, and you're limited only by your imagination.

As for me, I would donate most of it to Child's Play, just to see his face when he sees his money go to buy video games for kids (of course, I'm assuming he doesn't know that CP donates age appropriate video games).

So, let's hear your ideas?

Invest. Eventually sell and fund a science team to invent a time machine. Go back in time to '95, and tell my father to invest in Apple.

All of it to Riot Games so they can get League of Legends back online. It doesn't take 5 damn hours to fix a matchmaking issue.

Err... Who's Jack Thompson?

OT: Well if some guy gave me that cash.. I'd invest it in a car and a few of my more desired personal expenses. The rest would go in the bank to keep for my years at uni.

I'm thinking scholarships for students wanting to enter a field related to game development.

You know the nutjobs who periodically call this game or that a rape simulator or murder simulator? He's like the king nut job. Former Florida lawyer who campaigned against the Sims, GTA, among others.

$5'00 to charity, $5'000 to friends and family.

The rest goes into a high interest bank account.

Jack Thompson is a disbarred Florida lawyer who has been on the warpath against video games for pretty much ever. He basically classifies them as pornography and claims that they do extensive irreversable damage to young impressionable minds.

$50000(£31000) would basically pay off my course (all 4 years of it) and would get me a shiny new laptop for next year at uni. i don't care if he gave me it, then id rent a house with my girlfriend for the next couple of years with the rest buy a reasonable second hand car and party the rest away.

I'd put it away in a bank and use it for costs like food, petrol, car rego, uni books. You know, stuff. I'd take out $1500 each semester and keep the rest in a high interest bank account to make it last as long as I can ... maybe pay off my uni costs outright.

I'd buy a couple non-essential things I've been eying for a while- video games, a PS2, and some books- and then put the rest in the bank. I'm a poor college student. I need the money.

The mean part of me wants to say buy tons of copies of violent video games and hand them to children, but that's wrong and I know it.

In reality I'd probably donate half of it to a charity and invest the rest, or save it for retirement.
