I would be responsible.

I would certainly save someone's life if I happened to be in the immediate vicinity. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to do it, like for example going all the way across town to stop a car accident.

That being said, the only people I would go out of my way to save are my best mates. I'd also mention my girlfriend, but I don't have one. However, if I did, I would go out of my way to save her too.

I don't want people becoming reliant on me just because I have superpowers.

Super heroes are overrated. But if you a villain you have people coming after you all the time you would have no peace. So I would have to take the anti-hero, apathetic approach and just stop caring and do what ever I wanted. If it achieved a greater good okay but if I destroy a Daycare because Starbucks got my venti Java chip with a shot of caramel and whip cream wrong AGAIN, oh well.

Well if I had anything like those Nomad powers I keep talking about (i.e twisting my flesh, bones and organs into hideous but practical shapes similar to those found in Dead Space) I would most likely use them to scare peopl but overall I would defend the innocent and be the hero.
