My old WoW guild master got the guilds symbol, (a wolfs head with axes) tattooed on his chest, a month later we disbanded.

Personally, I'd go for the traditional triforce on the hand.

That made me laugh wayyy too hard...
I'd have to find something that could keep it's meaning so that kind of thing didn't happen so I'd pick the tri-force because it represents courage etc.

I've actually been seriously considering getting the Hylian Triforce insignia as a Tattoo.

Probably on the back of my left hand and with some elaborative decals travelling up my left forearm.
