That's easy. I'd make the zombies the good guys.
It's been done. He's called Jesus Christ...

More seriously, it HAS been done. Land of the Dead. While you're supposed to resent the zombies, you're made to feel sorry for them as the livies keep attacking them without reason as they get smarter.

He wasn't a zombie, he was a ghoul called Harold :p

OT: My twist will be that the leader zombie will be French (though it's not the first time we Brits have had a French leader)

Ok, I see some good ones here, but I'm gonna have to take one from the OP and twist that.

4.only English people turn into zombies
All the zombies are English. And I mean high-class English. As in men sprout a monocle shortly after they are first bitten.

"I say, Chapman, are you shambling with your left foot forward? I believe we agreed on the right foot."
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry William, its just that last attack from the humans took my right foot sort of, well, off."
"Really? How did it happen?"
"You remember that one with the shotgun?"
"Oh, yes, quite. His brains were like a good Stilton they were."
"Well, when you started eating his brains, he wasn't quite dead you see..."
"Oh dear."
"And he was still holding the shotgun at the time, and see, I was trying to get at his sweetmeats so..."
"I see. Well, in that case, EVERYBODY SHAMBLE LEFT!"
BONG BONG BONG
"RIGHT, we will continue shambling later! I have the tea, now, which one of you lads brought the crumpets, Cheshire, and brains?"
"I have them right here love."
"Oh, thank you Mumsy, you always make the best brains."
That... that... I have no words to describe how awesome that would be.
I will have to get started right away then.

their weakness is vuvuzelas.
I totally want to steal this for my idea. if not for killing them outright, then at least for driving them off. Is that ok?
That's fine, but credit me for the idea.
Ok, you're helping

The film will break every single zombie film rule there is.

The guy who wanders off alone into a dark corridor doesn't die.

The asshole, who almost gets his team killed lives through the film.

Any girls who take their tops off, actually prove to be the most effective and end up living through the ordeal rather than being torn to shreds.

The zombies weak points are their shins which is actually called their enchanted shin (There's a cookie waiting for those who get the refrence.)
how did you know that was the source of my powwaaaarrrr!?

(am i right?)
You've been ninja'd but yes your right.

awww thank you for being so generous =] *takes bite of cookie*

The zombies only "survive" for a few hours, then "die" due to natural decomposition.

If I've been ninja'd, then I apologize.

That killing the zombies makes you see all past memories of there life so you can understand that these are people.
The main character kills the first zombie and is horrified as he telepathically feels the triumphs and struggles, the passion and pain, the life and the demise of the zombie he kills. He goes through the movie, at first avoiding the enemy, but inevitably being forced to kill. He must survive, but is it worth the unavoidable memories of his victims? He eventually becomes numb to the pain he feels and becomes zombie-like himself, although remaining human. I don't know how to end it though...

A man and his daughter are on the run from the law as they are trying to apprehend/destroy/obliterate the daughter, because she's a zombie.
The father is a little gone in the head from the ordeal which results in him protecting the zombie girl to the very bitter end...the drama ensues..

He eventually becomes a husk killing and not caring. He becomes emotionless and kills human and zombie alike wishing to become someone else.

It's a typical zombie action thing, but then you find out that the heroes are the ones that have accidentally been spreading the infection!

...oh wait.

In my movie, the zombies would be gigantic... and made when too many stupid people who were infected with the virus got close to eachother, up to but not more than 21 people of that variety would congregate into one form as a big zombie zombie thing... and the only way to kill them is to introduce them to varying forms of unnorthadox political belief, and then hit them with an encyclopedia... yes AN ENTIRE ENCYCLOPEDIA... of course while in their giant form you can off up to but not more than 21 of them in one go by screaming speeches prepared on the subjects of nonconformist controlled capitalist monarchy, while pitching books at them... the movie will star anyone within range of me when i start shooting the film who has free time and wants to participate... much editing will then be done... I'm thinking of calling it, "BLACKJACK: Here Come the Zeds" or something like that... anyone up for casting?

lol Simpsons.
To add to this:

The Black guy lives.

Lighting the zombies on fire, is actually a good idea.

Getting a little scratch from a zombie, makes you immune to zombification.

Shooting the zombie in the head just makes them enrage.

Staying together increases your chance to die.

And zombies walk slowly to lure the human survivors into a false sense of security, then sprout wings and fly super fast at the humans.

The movie ends with him killing the himself.
All the emotions and memories of the people/zombies he has killed are released in a flashy show of sparks and Mortal Kombat-esque spirit-ness, and the spirits finally are at peace.
Until... his zombified son finds his fathers corpse, eats the remains, and gains his memories...

This should be made.
Hollywood would screw this for sure.

I don't know if we should get Shyamalan or an actually good director to do this.
If we told Shyamalan that the movie would have a really crazy twist at the end, and didn't let him do any modifications to the script, then the whole movie would be great, and we'd fire him before he could direct the final scene, do it right, then release the movie and make billions.
Or we could just get a real director who'd do a pretty good job.

The movie would have to end with the son eating the father though, no sequel.
THAT is the kind of twist that makes people screaming at the screen "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENS NEXT?!?!?!?!" :D
