It's because they sing in German and that means some people just don't understand the lyrics, so they only listen to the music. I remember that one time some music journalist said that it's "a great music to invade Poland to", thus completely missing the point of their lyrics, which are not only very strong, but often also witty or funny.sextus the crazy said:I'll have to go with Du Hast by Rammstein. Outside of being kinda catchy, it's lyrics are pretty weak and repetative, which is the death blow, considering that Rammstein's lyrics are one of their best elements.
I was more pissed off about "Pussy". Because "lol, look, awesome video!", again completely missing the point, even tho parts of it were even sung in English.
My personal issue is with Deep Purple.
Deep Purple, you say? Smoke on the Water, right? DUN DUN DUN! DU-DUN DU DUN!
Nope.
It is a memorable riff, true, but the band is far more than that!
Listen to this genius!
And the list goes on.
Look, I understand that their discography is extensive and spans over 40 years, but is Smoke on the Water all you can think of?
