I'll have to go with Du Hast by Rammstein. Outside of being kinda catchy, it's lyrics are pretty weak and repetative, which is the death blow, considering that Rammstein's lyrics are one of their best elements.
It's because they sing in German and that means some people just don't understand the lyrics, so they only listen to the music. I remember that one time some music journalist said that it's "a great music to invade Poland to", thus completely missing the point of their lyrics, which are not only very strong, but often also witty or funny.
I was more pissed off about "Pussy". Because "lol, look, awesome video!", again completely missing the point, even tho parts of it were even sung in English.

My personal issue is with Deep Purple.
Deep Purple, you say? Smoke on the Water, right? DUN DUN DUN! DU-DUN DU DUN!
Nope.
It is a memorable riff, true, but the band is far more than that!
Listen to this genius!
And the list goes on.
Look, I understand that their discography is extensive and spans over 40 years, but is Smoke on the Water all you can think of?

You know what? You're right. My favorite song of theirs has to be this one. It really speaks to you on an emotional level.

Just that one line... It makes me feel... What if I were a chair?
Oh ha ha :p To be honest, I don't consider that "Album" even Metallica's... I never got the point of that collaboration they did with Reed.. Worst decision ever. I really try and turn a blind eye and pretend it never ever happened.

It's an awesome sounding song, but the lyrics are arse if you speak basic german. I prefer Ich Will and Sonne

Probably Queen. You know exactly what songs I'm talking about, Don't Stop Me Now, Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions.

C'mon people, how bout Killer Queen? Somebody to Love? Fat Bottomed Girls? I want to Break Free?

To be honest though, I'm guilty of pretty much everything in this thread. Because
1. I don't really keep up with bands, singers, or musicians in general. Need to do something about that.
2. I'm not invested in music and sometimes can be extremely irritated by discussion of it. (Interpret that yourself)
3. I'm just a tad bit lazy...okay, a whole lot of lazy.

Journey. I love them to death, but "Don't Stop Believing" is one of the most overplayed songs of all time.

I mean it's a decent song, but "Wheel in the Sky" blows it out of the fucking water. And don't get me started on how amazing "Separate Ways" and "Faithfully" are in comparison to that overrated song, dear lord...

I have that album. One of the best to come from those guys.

Speaking of British hard rock, Black Sabbath is another band that got the short end of the stick. I like "Iron Man", "Paranoid" and "War Pigs" as much as the next guy, but that's all they play on the radio; where's stuff like "The Wizard", "Children Of The Grave", "Supernaut", "Looking For Today" or "Symptom Of The Universe"?

Queen, awesome band, lots of awesome music, so much talent. What is the most played song around here? We are The Champions. That is the ONLY song by Queen I don't like. For so many years I thought Queen was a crappy band. Then I started listening more of their music and it turns out they're awesome. Now I have to agree that Don't Stop Me Now is probably one of my favourite songs because I like the piano, but they DO have more songs worth listening to.

I know these guys are a lot more modern than everything that's been previously posted on this thread, but Foster The People. Their album Torches is a really awesome album, some of the best indie-pop I've heard, they're far better than the reputation made out for them by Pumped Up Kicks. That's still a great song, but their other tracks deserve a lot better.

Hallelujah, covered by Jeff Buckley. Seriously! It's not even in the top 10 of his best songs! Hell, it's not even his best cover! (That would be his version of Kanga Roo.)
His best songs are these:

Led Zeppelin.
Don't get me wrong, Stairway to Heaven is a fucking awesome song, but fucking hell, when you've got songs like this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwisLnjsOCA], or this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl6s1x9j4QQ], how does Stairway take precedence every time?

Similarly, Pink Floyd =/= Another Brick in the Wall Pt II (what's that? Part II?)

I actually have started hating Don't Stop Believing, just because of how goddamn overplayed it gets. My favourite of theirs is probably Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'.

Adios, Feuer Frei, Zwitter

Trust me, im a german speaker :p
Honestly, I don't like the Mutter Album too much anymore because it was the only thing I listened too during 9th & 10th grades and I'm a tiny bit sick of it. Rein Raus is still great though.

"Somebody That I Used to Know"

It's a good song, but for the Outsider's sake, he has other songs!

Thanks for Your Time, Hearts A Mess, State of the Art are just as freaking awesome, people!
