No. The control scheme is outdated and sucks monkey balls. Chris moves like he is on heroin. All they had to do was rip off Dead Space and it all would have been fixed in a pinch.delta4062 said:GET OVER ITmastertang said:Being able to move whilst aim,,,
DINO CRISIS HAD IT and Dino crisis 2 made so that you move at different speeds depending on the type of weapon.
WTF?jamesworkshop said:I know heres a better idea for a game mechanic lets run and shoot and constantly miss why not have him bunny hop and newb-tube all the zombiez
That was from Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.Soulx said:I was thinking about the new Resident Evil game and what weapons and stuff they are going to have on it. then I had this funny idea where they should have this weapon that plays Michael Jackson's Thriller (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtyJbIOZjS8 can't beat 32 million views...) and all of the zombies start dancing to it, and you can just sneak past them and everything. Of course only as like an unlockable after beating it on the hardest difficulty without dieing or something.
You can't deny it you know that would be awesome.

Zombie (or whatever you want to call them) disguises

You know what would actually make RE5 Awesome? Running-and-gunning and decent control movement.
[jdnoth said:You know what RE5 really lacks? Moving and shooting at the same time. They could remove all the guns except the pistol, and as long as you can move and shoot at the same time with it, it would be and infinitely better game.
what does that even mean?jamesworkshop said:I know heres a better idea for a game mechanic lets run and shoot and constantly miss why not have him bunny hop and newb-tube all the zombiez
Haha nice very nonchalantly throwing that in about the flaws, when in fact lots of people love that type of game.Danzorz said:Awesome and vastly stupid.Soulx said:You can't deny it you know that would be awesome.

Please, pretty please, with sugar on top, tell me that you realized I was being sarcastic. I fully agree with you on all points (even those which I cut from your quote.) I look at it as a different game from the run and gun FPSs, with different mechanics to master. I wasn't kidding about the George and Laura Bush costumes as unlockables, though.Soulx said:Okay it seemes quite alot of you want Running and Gunning in RE5... To that i say HELL NO.Bofus Teefus said:To repeat what I posted on a non-Escapist thread, I think you should be able to run and shoot. Okay this just confused me, you do realize that Dead Space copied RE4 in regards to the overall control scheme (You even have little laser sights with your weapons). The only thing that Dead Space changed on that control scheme WAS the ability to move and shoot at the same time. And while that worked out well for dead space I really think it detracted from the overall suspense vale of the game once I realized that strafing made me practically invincible, Dead Space was not even close to as tense as RE4 was.axia777 said:No baby siting a dumb ass AI while I play alone?
Not having a "survival horror" game in a place that is sunny and warm?
Not having a control scheme that is out dated and now blows a dead goat after playing games like Uncharted and Dead Space?
Being able to aim with out fighting the controller whilst some freak tries to chop my head off?
Actually getting back to what Resident Evil was all about in the first place(survival horror in case you did not guess)?

That gun already exists. It's in Painkiller... That's also the reason why he said it in his review of Painkiller.djpuppylove789 said:no, to refrence yahtzee, there should be a gun that shoots Shurikens and lightning. then it could only be better if it were on fire and had tits.
Umm, the laser sight has been in tons of games before RE4. And that WAS RE4's entire control scheme. Dead Space is NOTHING like RE4. Completely different controls. And wait... did you just say RE4 was scarier than Dead Space? I don't think we played the same games... RE4 wasn't scary in the slightest. It was a survival action game, not a survival horror game, same as RE5. Dead Space, on the other hand, is 100% Survival Horror.Lancer723 said:Okay this just confused me, you do realize that Dead Space copied RE4 in regards to the overall control scheme (You even have little laser sights with your weapons).
