...when you can't stay hooked on the storyline/quests or it starts getting pointless to you doing whatever it is you do ingame.

Sometimes when I've played too much of basically any RPG, I get an urge to save my progress when I for example get of the buss. I don't want to sit the whole buss ride again if I get killed........

I had a friend who used to get really jumpy and look around every time a dog barked.

Turned out he'd been playing a lot of S.T.A.L.K.E.R

After a long stint of Vanquish i turned off the game, walked down a long straight road to my next lecture and seriously started trying to activate my power slide feature...

...you start hearing people identifying strangers as the Spy, frantic medic calls, and "Spy's sappin' mah sentreh!" throughout your day.

When I start thinking in Fallout Speech options.

When I keep hearing the alarm from the Dead Money DLC, and getting nervous... When there is no such sound in the room.

When I keep imagining targeting people in VATS.

When I keep expecting to hear the Ksssssh of my pip boy ending combat

At a service station, saw gas canisters, wanted to spread them around to stop a horde or a tank (too much left4dead).

Too much medieval 2, quotes and accents start to creep into my speech. This is however quite entertaining for my other friend who plays lots of med 2.

I was driving through the neighborhood, and there is a little blue swing for kids hanging from the tree.
I was like "shoot that blue fuckin' thing!"
Too much RE4 (Gamecube)

That is really funny. Turns out frequently wanting to save is good for games aaand for typing up word docs.

I find with too much WOW, when I go watch youtube or a dvd, I find myself mouse dragging the screen or using the mouse wheel to try to pan in and out or change the viewing angle of what I'm watching, I can't believe I'm alone with this tho...

Anyone else tried to change the camera angle, videogame style, while watching a video?

When you walk past a clump of trees and worry about if a bear will attack you. Also, whenever you go out, you say that you've taken a break from bear hunting.

Kinda sums up when I get Red Dead Redemption.

You know you've been playing too much Bully when you buy stinkbombs, firecrackers and a slingshot and carry them around with you.

The small sounds of day to day life are replaced by game sounds.

Once when I was about 18, I finished StarCraft in one sitting with no cheats (on normal mind you, but it still took awhile). I had already been awake for 24 hours, and didnt start the game until about 8 pm.

Well I hear the achivement sound all the time even when I'm not playing and when I had the ps2 I always heard call of duty music looping in my head and the sound of nazis dying and machine gunfire.
