Well the obvious examples would be Persona 4 and the Ace Attorney games. I bought Persona 4 with zero knowledge of what it was (except it's a JRPG) and expected it to be really good regardless. It is still the baist gaem evar and anyone who says otherwise is WRONG!Vault101 said:just out of curiosity what games passed the rank fo "special" I mean aside from Bioshock boxart has never been a good indicator, when I was new to gaming I got splinter cell and mass effect confusedThe Wykydtron said:You know you're a gamer when you can instantly tell if a game is going to be something special just by looking at the cover. I'm pretty damn good at sort of feeling how much I would like a particular game before buying it. I expect all of you to master this art as well. Especially you Brian!
!
I don't even like JRPGs as a genre, I don't dislike them either. I just never bothered to get into them so randomly buying one doesn't make much sense.
I'm rather sure I use some sort of mystical power to look beyond the cover and see the game for what it truly is... Or something.
As for the AA games, I doubt I had even played a Visual Novel type game before. Now they are one of my favourite genres. There's a reason why I can't get the fucking Corpse Party True Ending out of my head :S
[sub]No hard feelings huh? Fucking Seiko man... /Cry[/sub]
I can do it with anime as well, except that is easier since the ones with a unique art style get a free ride XD
