You know you're a nerd when you can spend a full 40 minutes analyzing a fanbase... then post it online...

Also when you can make a connection between a cartoon character and the Xoroths from WoW...
I watched a bit of it (Section regarding "Haters gonna hate" and other dismissive bullshit) and I liked it..

But it's way, way too long. There's more than one part too!? I just don't have the time to go through all of what you said. I don't think you should stop, what I saw I agreed with wholeheartedly, but I can't believe you have 40 minutes worth of rant over MLP.
I don't set a time limit for my videos. I keep going until I run out of stuff to say.

This was a two-parter. Part 1 dealt with the "anti-bronies" (a video which got me a lot of thanks from the Brony community) and Part 2 was when I turned on them MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Was it really? It was more to do with the shitty things people do in any fandom.

You know that you're a nerd when over 85% of the songs on your media player come from video games, 10% come from percussion music, and the rest is just miscellaneous.

I've definitely felt like a nerd when I've said phrases like "I have a vibraphone/marimba duet stuck in my head," or "this timpani concerto is just so damn catchy!"

Oh, and not to mention that I can discuss a 17 minute Chrono Medley for considerably longer than the actual duration of the piece.

(This medley, to be precise)

Oh, and I'm also infamous among my friends for knowing an obnoxious amount of information about the history of the video game industry.

...Feel an impulse to download and install Speccy onto every computer you touch just because you're curious about the rigs specs.
is that a thing that finds out the computers specs?

cant you just do that by going into "run" and entering Dxdiag or somthing like that? (please dont yell at me if Im wrong)
Haha nah I'm not gonna yell.
I actually just ran Dxdiag because I've never heard of it before.

From what I can tell Dxdiag tells you:
BIOS, OS, RAM, and DirectX version, along with some other information that isn't very important.

Speccy along with some other programs like it tell you:
OS, the name of you CPU, the number of cores, the number of RAM slot you mobo has, how many RAM cards are plugged in, the name and size of your RAM cards, name of your mobo, the name of your graphics card, etc etc etc. It goes into great detail.

Half of you guys are weaksauce.

...When you can't play Game of Thrones with a certain group of friends anymore because you all know each other so well it just becomes a very complicated game of rock, paper, scissors.

...When your Munchkin deck can overpower a 6-deck shuffler and needs two Boxes of Holding.

...When your favorite movie is Armageddon and you can defend it.

...When you have a custom Battlestar Galactica Loyalty Deck.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think I'm a Geek as determined by the Venn Diagram of Nerdiness. I don't really have a problem with social ineptitude... Lotta dorks in this thread.

You know you're a nerd...

when you've memorized the theme songs to plenty of popular shows... past and present.

or when you write fanfiction and participate in Cosplay--visit cons.

when you make it a point to compare the movie version of books and vice versa to pick out changes and get pissed when the changes are bad.

when i 'm late for something, i will audibly cry "keelah!" (mass effect)
when i'm given a difficult task i'll have to restrain my self from saying: "in the name of kane!" (command and conquer, tiberian series)
i say "frak" as an alternative curse

and that's just the start :p

edit: i know the march theme to the brother hood of NOD. all 3 mins of it.

When you Tell Call of Duty and Battlefield war stories with friends at lunch.

(Which is weird since I eat lunch with the group some people call "Jocks" even though I am openly nerdy.)

When 75% or more of your music library is composed of videogame soundtracks and remixes.

When you can discuss political or religious issues, and use movie and game references to prove your point.

When you can discuss on how to beat a videogame or how to achieve 100% before the person who introduced it to you to game has.

When you spend over a half hour trying to figure out which Magic the Gathering card in your deck perfectly describes you and your friends.

When you discuss with your friends which videogame character each of you would be, based upon your personality.

When you bring over your entire Magic the Gathering collection with you to school or college, just to trade for a few cards (I've actually have done that a few times).

You know you're a nerd when:

You know who voiced a certain character in a cartoon/anime/video game, and what other characters they've done.

When you realise you can explain the entire Horus heresy from the beginning betrayal to the death of Horus.. and can also explain the entire back-story and explain the idea of the warp to someone who has never even entered the Warhammer 40,000 universe..

+ when you get royally riled when someone suggests that some other universe could possibly beat the 40K universe, except maybe MLP..
