the whole game just built, and built, and built, until before the end you were just thinking "how the shit am I going to beat this guy?".
So yeah, overall the final boss of Forgotten Sands, along with the horrible powerpoint-slideshow ending cutscene, just combined into a big let-down.

Then after an admittedly awesome platforming section around ruins swirling in a magical sandstorm, you end up stuck on a small platform fighting this guy who really poses very little challenge since his pattern is easy and he telegraphs his attacks like he wants to die but needs to make it look realistic. The minions he spawns would have been the problem but with the magical genie-water sword you kill them easily, and that's IF he doesn't do it himself with his attacks.
I got the "beat him taking no damage" achievement on my first time fighting him for God sake!
Hell, the first time you fight him as a sub-boss was more difficult, since the minions actually had some challenge against you back then. Plus him shooting fire and you while you platformed was challenging and annoying.

Is it bad that I cried this exact thing when I finished Shadow of the Colossus? Though my reasoning was a bit different...
Of games that just plain old let me down, I have to say that I was most recently bummed by the ending of Fable III. Dramatic, yes, but ending? Eh. Not really. Loved the game as a whole, just ... the story really fell flat at the end there.
I just found it so upsetting that I went through the hell of that stupid, stupid, STUPID flying dragon crap for him to go off and die. Okay, yes, I was also crying and a bit upset by the ending, but I really think that, more than anything, I was MAD that it ended like that. I am probably going to be sent to some kind of gaming hell for this.

Way Of The Samurai 3. I've never seen a game with so many endings, and only one of them worth seeing. Seriously every ending other than the best possible outcome either plays you up as an idiot, or kills you off. It's always disappoining when a game sells itself on multiple choices and outcomes, when theres only one worth getting, and the means of getting it are almost viciously specific.
Definitely Kane and Lynch 2. The game IMO was pretty good. The gunplay really wasn't amazing, but the characters seemed real. I kind of like the story and frantic gameplay of it. The ending did leave alot to be desired, but I sort of believe that they were trying to get you to create your own ending.
Final Fantasy XIII... it was pretty i give you that but the cutscenes for the game itself to end, took more than half an hour.... i mean common... the whole ending was just a big wining fest... ;
