I don't like the 'you missed the like button' ones cause they seem kinda bigoted, like they can't accept that someone might think differently.
That said, ones that refer to the content of the video amuse me. For instance, the Llamas With Hats 3 video has 314 dislikes. In said video, a character refers to pushing people into a giant fan, and a commenter has connected the two to make "314 people were pushed into a giant fan". These are pretty funny to me.

The very first time I saw one it wasn't annoying. It wasn't hilarious, but it didn't bother me. But now I can't see a single video without having tons of those. Or like in the Metal Gear Solid 3 theme someone says "MGS3 is the best MGS game. Like my comment if you agree." or something like that. Of course, it's the people begging for attention and you're always going to get it but I think people just haven't realized they're not clever.

You know what else is stupid?? When people make a comment which repeats a line from the video that everyone who is reading the comment has just watched, and then loads of people thumbs up it. I sometimes wonder who actually does that :) I know I never do.
Y'know, I never understood that either. Maybe YouTubers have a bad short-term memory.
yeah lol :) I always end up disliking them

The title of this thread made me laugh far more than any of those hilarious comments on youtube.

I've never done it, and I don't find it amusing...unless it's about the video and is amusing.

E.g. On the Old Spice advert, "87 people are now diamonds"

Though how anybody could dislike that video I don't know....

I think it can be funny. I saw a Scott Pilgrim vs the World film clip with a comment that said.

"7 dislikes! I think we all know who they are!"

That made me laugh.

I saw one on a Rise Against video. Someone was saying that people missed the like button and someone else replied ' it is hard to hit the like button when you are having an orgasm'. I thought it was quite amusing.

I hate it on a scale of 10, probably 8. What's also annoying is the people who always try and beg to get thumbs ups on their comments in hopes of reaching the highest rated comments section.

I find the "like my comment if you agree with blah" far more annoying. But I tend to not read Youtube comments anyway.

what really shows how stupid and unoriginal they all are is when said *### missed the like button* comments are the highest rated

To be fair, there's plenty of things on THIS site that people repeat over and over with a couple of words switched, that I don't really understand or, if I do, find particularly unfunny.

It's true of everywhere. It's not YouTube you're hating, it's what the race of man turns into when given unlimited freedom to say what they want to whoever they like with the veil of anonymity and an inflated sense of importance (For example: me, with this very reply). The majority of people in the world are painfully unimaginative and yet feel they have a right and need to 'have a say'.

Blame society, kid. It's much more depressing.

Just saying "they missed the like button" is pretty stupid. However, I've seen some similar comments that are pretty clever.

Like the Meet the Spy video having the comment:
"21 people are Engineers"

It made me laugh when somone inverted this and said; 'oops, i missed the like button. I'm going to go and kill myself now.'

Youtube comments often make me feel great about myself.

It lets me know there are bigger retards than myself out there.

What I really hate the most though is basically the same as you OP

-Thumbs up if you like *what the video is showing*
-It looks like some people missed the like button...(unless there's a good joke behind it, it's not funny. Or original.)
-Or when in a video where it's repeating the same thing over and over again (visually or audio....ly) and then they say, "I like the part where they *do that one thing, but the video is only comprised of that one thing*

It really pisses me off. Considering those are mostly the high rated comments as well.

Never seen those comments....then again...I don't watch a lot of videos on youtube. Just whatever I subscribed to or my own for laughs.
