Lay, Lady, Lay by Bob Dylan
Fistful of Love by Antony & the Johnsons
What Is Your Secret by Nada Surf
Satellite by Guster
Trouble Sleeping by The Perishers
Long Time Coming by Rubyhorse
Knocking On Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan
Lover You Should've Come Over by Jeff Buckley

I could go on, but I'll refrain. The above are hands-down favorites I could listen to on repeat without end and never grow tired of them. If you were to ask me to pick a favorite, though, it'd be Dylan's Knocking on Heaven's Door.

So I'm not the only one who has songs like that!

Mine are Hey Jude, Scar Tissue, On Mercury, Boondocks, Mambo No.5, If Today Was Your Last Day, and She's Only 18. All of them, especially She's Only 18 and Hey Jude, just make me feel like something huge is happening. They're all songs with such a great sound that they need to be played at the big duel between good and evil in a movie.
Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking. I can see it in my mind: A short buildup in music, camera shows a closeup of both opponents, then a wide shot, both lunge at each other, and the first hit connects just as the 'kick ass!' part of the music sets in. RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAARRRGHH!!!!! >=D

Akira Yamaoka is a genius when it comes to music.
At secondary school, as our final piece in music we had about a month to do whatever we wanted so I made a piano version of that. I found a guitar tab and just went at it. Recorded it on Cubase just to be sure. It wasn't great because I rushed it a bit, but the potential was there. That was 5 years ago now and I'm one listen to that song away from doing it again but flawlessly.
However, I see you and I raise you.

I'd need to write one: One reason being that no song currently in existence can fully capture my awesomeness. The other reason being copyright issues =(.

Everbody Wants to Rule the World, Ballroom Blitz, what's the next great old song?

Edit: When You're Evil! I'm not the only one who likes Voltaire.

And Hey Jude? That's just the greatest Final-Battle-Cut-To-Credits song ever. It just wraps everything up in a crisp, clear, amazing ending. Only the Beatles could repeat something 14 times and still have it get better every time they say it.

Also, She's Only 18 is just an awesome battle song.

She's only 18
Don't like the Rolling Stones
She took a short cut
To being fully grown

She's got that mood ring
A little sister rose
The smell of Springsteen
A pair of pantyhose

This talking picture show
Is leaking from a silhouette
She said my man you know
It's time to get your fingers wet
Your hustle's busted when
You can't afford a cigarette
The last I heard from you
You were screaming "handle it"

Knock the world right off its feet
And straight onto its head
The book of love will
Long be laughing after you are dead
Fascinated by the look of you
And what was said
Make a play for all the
Brightest minds and light will shed

I heard some P-Funk
Out on the road again
To get your head shrunk
Is what I recommend

It's in your bloodline
A perfect Frankenstein
Out on that lone pine
I'm gonna make you mine

It's understood you wrap
Your voodoo right around my neck
You've got some glitter on your
Kitty at the discotheque
I put my lovin' in your oven
Not a head to check
The last I heard from you
You were screaming "resurrect"

Knock the world right off its feet
And straight onto its head
The book of love will
Long be laughing after you are dead
Fascinated by the look of you
And what was said
Make a play for all the
Brightest minds and light will shed

Knock the world right off its feet
And straight onto its head
The book of love will
Long be laughing after you are dead
Fascinated by the look of you
And what was said
Make a play for all the
Brightest minds and light will shed

Okay? Just a fantastic song.

Theme song? Ha, I've got my own soundtrack, here's a sample:
Admit it, the Soviets had an awesome national anthem.

The Game by Motorhead, if I'm feeling unconscionably arrogant.

Possibly Distill by Neurosis. It has a nice mood to it.

I'd probably try to go with something cool like Deep by NIN, but wind up with something random like Achy Breaky Heart o_O ha.
