Here is an idea. Imagine if you will, it is 20xx and every person on the planet is in a matrix like system. You are a god in your own little world you can create whole worlds, live out a fantasy, meet George Washington, be an octopus. Think Gmod+sims but real. You would physically live in small box where you all you biological needs would be taken care of, feed intravenously, muscles stimulated electrical, UV lamps to keep the creepy whiteness away. The buildings would be under ground and robots would mine, farm, and build every thing we need. Our needs would be less then they are now and our impact would lessen. There would be observer robots that you could view the real world and other planets with. So to sum up we would clean up earth, lessen our intake, have everything you could possible imagine (literally), and meet George Washington as a squid and who doesn't want to do that.

I'd probably have to create a world with pre-defined boundaries. Yeah, I'd likely live in a fantasy setting. I'd try to get other people to join in as well... if it was the me from now sent to the future and my friends were alive, I'd drag them along and help them form the world with me.

I would probably live in a realm similar to the Dreamlands as described in the Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. Talking cats, zebras are used rather than normal horses, cities of unimaginable splendor. Etc.
