You see, ladies? THIS is why men think you're absolutely insane.

At least a good example of it.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/real-life-stories/i-hired-a-honeytrap-to-catch-my-man-cheating-787468

Synopsis: a British woman hires a female PI that goes by the name of "Miss Honeytrap". The woman apparently wanted to find out if her boyfriend would be willing to cheat on her, and as such she hired Honeytrap specifically to try and seduce her boyfriend. Shockingly enough, the woman was heartbroken when she caught the two on a genuine date.

"I hired you to test my boyfriend and you stole him from me?"

Wellllll yeah...that seems like it would be a strong possibility when you PAY another woman to actively try and seduce your current boyfriend, how is this outcome so surprising?

(Edit) ~Disclaimer: Due to the inability of some people to recognize a jest, allow me to state that no, this topic is not me making a direct attack on the sanity of all women everywhere. This is a light-hearted joke thread created to share a humorous story of a woman who behaved in a ridiculous manner.~

All I can really say is karma sorted it out.

Well thats exactly why you should never play stupid games during relationships. I'm female and I don't think I'm insane. If I had my suspicions about a partner I'd either come right out and confront the situation. Or just let it be. Whatever happens, happens. If it turned out that a partner is a cheat well, it will all come out eventually. Some people just let their emotions and jealousy take hold, and make them do idiotic things. If you don't trust someone you either confront the situation or end the relationship. Simples.

Also men can be just as Insane. I had an ex who I had remained friends with for a number of years hack my facebook account and read all my messages, and also accused me of seeing a guy that I was actually just friends with. The kicker, this happened a few months ago, and it's been 5 years since we broke up.

Well she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her i'd say she got her moneys worth.

I think if my wife ever did that to me, after i'd finished laughing at the plain stupidity of that plan, i'd be looking for another woman as well.

Although, technically, she bought her boyfriend a date which makes that even more hilarious. "Here's 200 Euro's, have that bloke there.

So to test her boyfriend's faithfulness she hires a woman to do everything in her power to make him unfaithful?

Sorry. It's just kind of ridiculous. It doesn't say how long they were involved but clearly there was a lack of trust on her side of the fence. Talking about these things never solves anything, right?

I however refuse to use this as ammunition for the gender war threads bouncing around OT these days. Guys can be equally ridiculous.

There is (or used to be) a reality show based on this premise, except instead of a female PI, it was models of both genders. The whole premise was jealous lovers trying to get their significant other to cheat on them, and their reaction after they found out if they did or not. Reality TV today may be trashy, but that show (Cheaters? I,'m not sure on the title) and Temptation Island show that the low point was hit shortly after Survivor came out.

Captcha: red white and blue.

Indeed, 'merica.

No, that's nothing to do with why some men think some or most women are insane, and it works the other way round too.

This is just one crazy woman who you shouldn't take as the goddamn spokesperson for the entire population of women.

HAHAHAHAHA!

That's freaking hilarious. Maybe next time you'll think for more than 5 seconds before you pull that same shit. Impossible to feel sorry for someone who brings this sort of thing on themselves. Really, if you can't trust your Boyfriend, Girlfriend, whatever, then you need to choose better.

For anyone interested he went from this:

Oh I know that's 100% true and I really started this topic with light-hearted intentions. Surely even other women can look at that situation and say "That's frickin' nuts!"

See? Looks like I was right, other women CAN look at the situation and say the girl in question acted ridiculously. :p

Good lord calm the hell down, this was a light-hearted topic poking fun at a person who acted in a ridiculous manner, no need to take it so seriously as though I'm ACTUALLY making an attack on the psychological state of all women everywhere.

*shrugs* Bitches be crazy, and by bitches, I mean everyone. Gender is irrelevant to stupidity.

Anyway, seems strange to me in this that she seems to be mad at the girl rather than her unfaithful boyfriend.

Now too sure what to make of this other than the sweet irony!

On one hand yes Samantha is crazy to a certain extent (well consider her past relationship it wasn't too suprising) but normally the person who think his/ her boy/ girl friend is cheating on him/ her would hire a PI instead of a seductress.
On the other hand her boyfriend is pretty much a douchebag seeing how he cheated on her anyway before Honeytrap came along.
Also I couldn't help tp laugh when it said he smug about it when she confronted Honeytrap while he was there.

Right, well, your title was somewhat misleading and inflammatory, and frankly, I'm fed up of the gender-political threads that keep popping up.

She was an idiot. I mean, the girl got what she asked for. She seems like she was already jealous and had no trust in him. She decided the most logical thing to do instead of talking to him, was to hire a woman to seduce her boyfriend. When the woman done what she was paid for and succeeded in seducing him. The girlfriend goes nuts.
Yeah I can be pretty level-headed. I just hate when people cry and get annoyed about something when it's actually their doing.

Forgive me for having faith in people's ability to take a joke, apparently that's my fault. Allow me to put a disclaimer in my OP before someone spills some hot coffee in their lap and tries to sue me.

Why is it so goddamn hard to talk things out, I don't get. Instead people assmue the worst and do stupid shit, and then get angry when their relationships go to hell partly if not mostly because of it.

So instead of taking care of the situation herself, she devises a plan that's guaranteed to backfire? And she's shocked? Clearly not the brightest crayon in the box. Either that or she's a living, breathing Bond villain.

I mean seriously, it'd be one thing if she thought her boyfriend was already cheating on her so she hired a PI to follow him around and find out. No, she wanted to see if her boyfriend would be willing to take a lil' somethin'-somethin' if it was just thrown into his lap by some random lovely woman who is actively trying to seduce him. I'd say her plan probably had a 98% chance of failing/backfiring like this.

I totally agree. But even if she did think he was already cheating i just don't get why she couldn't have just came straight out with it and asked him. You usually know when someone is lying. My only question now is, How much did she pay for that service? No boyfriend and out of money, I doubt that was the result she wanted.
