You wake up and its the end of the world

What kind of wasteland?
Like everything is flat? Nothing at all?
Or everything is sort of destroyed but there's still stuff.
If there's nothing, wander around until hunger takes me
If there's still stuff, scavenge and build a home. I'd go to my local supermarket, there's a lot of shops around there, and probably find a way to my local mall too.

Honestly? No idea. I'm no supersoldier or Vaultdweller who just goes off one direction. Maybe I could search for anyone alive in the neighbourhood. Or perhaps I could try out if power still works and call my friends, see if they're still alive.

honest answer? check to see if my mates are still alive. I have one who's pretty smart, so he might've slept through it too ^^
then, regardless of wether or not he is dead, go to the police station, get a gun (that's the only place you can find a handgun here) get a lorry, drive to this food distribution centre I used to work at, check if my mate really didn't just hide in his studio to fight off looters with his guitar (he lives across from the DC), load up the lorry with canned food (cause it won't go bad) and water. then I guess I'd drive over to the army base in the next town over to get some better guns. go nuts with them for a while if everyone there is dead too. then... I guess I'd go to Utrecht cause that's the biggest city where I know a lot of people ^^ if I still can't find anyone.... drive off into the sunset

It's already been said, but in the reality of the situation I would probably just off myself. Either that or become a mindless drone who walks around mindlessly, not caring for his life yet managing to survive on the scraps of the earth.

well, obviously you find a land that is habitable and livable in. Then... I dont know. I gather enough supplies to live and travel around.

Try to get back home and hold onto futile hope that my parents are still around...leading to some sort of post-apocalyptic Euro trip.

Could actually be an alright TV-series come to think of it.

It's been done. It was a short animation that ran every week on the scifi channel. It was 5 minutes long about a guy telling the story of how the world ended but 2 minutes into the first epasode he finds people so i guess it doesn't count. I can't remember what it was called but if you went onto the scifi channel website they might have a section for discontinued series.
