I don't think I would do anything to anyone. I mean I'd do little things to amuse myself, maybe make myself a sweet house, but I wouldn't try to change the world. Maybe if someone was in peril near me I'd save them, but I wouldn't want anyone to know about my power, because then I couldn't see what people will do.
Perhaps see if I can fix the planet faster than man can destroy it. Failing that, find a dot around some far off star, blink there, and go create to my heart's content. When a being is empowered or gifted, or even acts generous once or twice, people take that kindness for granted and it becomes an expectation. I would use the gift to help Earth so long as humanity chooses to progress and not expect me to hold them up after my initial work is done.
If you could demonstrate your powers to some people who already are physicists they might help you figure out what can be done. The risky part though, is that you won't have much privacy anymore when the news breaks.Secondhand Revenant said:

Shame you have to be in a line of sight, otherwise I was going to suggest changing every weapon in the world into a toy version of itself. Take that, ISIS. I suppose I could just produce large enough quantities of gold to become fabulously rich, then invest that money in legitimate companies and become a billionaire that way. To be honest, I could probably cause more good across the world by using my powers to be rich and then funding charity efforts, rather than doing it all myself.

Haven't posted my own idea, hm.
If I had amazing powers, but a squishy mortal body, the first thing I would do is try to create a golem or something that would protect me and observe potential threads to health and safety. The problem is the golem itself and its design.
Probably the first prototype won't resemble anything human, which is an issue if you don't want to attract unwanted attention. I'll attempt to make it look more like a person, lass or lad, which can perform basic communication, mimic humans phisiology and psychology. I'm not sure if I'll give them free will or not. I'm afraid if I make them too real and appealing I might fall in love with them, which would be awkward.
After acquiring a few guards and allies I would begin to perform tests and covert operations through proxy groups. My goals would be to help humanity though creation of replicating advanced technology and illiminating some of the more "problematic" groups.

I'd erase certain individuals from existence. Not naming any names, but one of them rhymes with dump. I'd then found my own country where severe crimes are met with severe punishments and ambulance chasing lawyers are burned at the stake (literally). Also private enterprise would be severely restricted... come to think of it I'd enforce that last part on the entire world. No more fucking multinational corporations.
I'd stand on the white house front lawn.

Under your rules you would be more of a matter manipulator than a reality bender, and quite a low level manipulator at that.
I suppose the easiest thing to do would be to influence sports games you've bet on. A little nudge of the ball one way or another to tip the score your way.

Infiltrate the room they do lottery draws in and fix the numbers to match yours. Or just buy a scratch ticket and switch its numbers with the biggest ticket in that supermarket or wherever they're sold at. 2) Whenever people blare loud music, our car windows or porches, I'll transform it into incredibly stale music from the 1920s, or if I'm feeling really spiteful, the most embarrassingly tweeny pop music I can think of.
3)I'd transform the attitudes of the occasional malcontents I passed by into something more agreeable
4) I'd mute the voices of children
5) I'd pull an Overwatch and transform the most spiteful comments on the internet into something humble and a bit self-deprecating
6) I'd materialize money for the homeless, and instantly purge them of any harmful addictions or habits they acquired from the homeless life, or prior.

Going by the thread rules you couldn't do the former (unless you are content with changing stuff only on your own screen) and these homeless guys would be going to jail for counterfeiting money soon enough. Though maybe not if you only gave them money that's been lost.sageoftruth said:
