At first I probably mistaken myself as an Were [insert animal that I've become).

Second I would check my privates, what? I want to know how different it is due to some animal (or how the furry artist draw it) having that parts different compared to human....

Third, I would have alot of question but I would try to see the plus side like any new ability as a furry?
This....

Shedding and molting would be new issues. Also owning a pet would feel weird. Yeah.. Hundred and hundreds more issues and questions.

Then, go to work like nothing happened. After a few days probably be unamazed on how the porn industry adjusts to this faster then the rest of the world.

I'd probably go to the hospital cause I'd be freaked out by this massive pandemic that suddenly swept the globe.
Tens of thousands would be there with me. As the hospital buckled under the load, the military and other relief organizations would come to help provide aid.

I would most likely just keep sleeping as usual and deal with it tomorrow, until tomorrows run out then I start thinking about it.

Also depends a lot on what animal would I be "mixed", local? Exotic? Based on my personality?.. Because the local wildlife up this north is quite boring.
But if I get the mix of lynx i'd finally go up north even more and life during night in far away place as a hermit.

I think Lake Inari or Tana river would be good place. Just about 1100km from where I currently live.

Hard to say how I would react, I guess it would depend upon two conditions, the first being do I get to choose what species I would be and the second being, would it also include Little Bit Beastly, whereby you look human, but have the ears and tail of (insert animal here), you know something like this

If so, then I would be happy enough with it and just get on with my life as normal, with of course getting used to a lot of new things as well

To be as insufferable as I usually am whenever I voice my opinion or read from a dictionary (or wikipedia), a furry is a person associating themselves with the Furry subculture (not necessarily the Furry Fandom), while an Anthropomorph is an object or animal given human characteristics.

So if I woke up as a furry...I'd probably make the best of it. So I'm interested in some kind of weird things compared to what I thought before, okay. It's a personal thing, I'll deal with it like I would any kind of interest or preference. If I woke up as an Anthropomorph, well, great. I'm a man-beast of some kind. Preferably something along the lines of a minotaur, or werebear or massive gorilla, and then I'd probably just make the best of it. Again.

I'm into making the best of things, and adapting to change. Though since I'm still mostly human right now, I'm not going to delve too deeply into the physical and psychological difficulties that would be part of that new found transformation--yes I am very boring right now!

...Hey, the capatcha thing is "Hulk Smash"! It knows what I'd be hoping for! Sweet!

I'd scratch behind my new ears, shrug and say, "Well, it's not like I was devoid of body hair before," and carry on with my life.

And depending on what animal I resemble, I'd also practice using my new tail.

What do I do? Trying to figure out my new biological abilities and then altering clothes. (If I had to pick a furry form, assuming we're also allowing non-mammals, I'd probably go with a dragon; if we had to go with real animals, a saber-toothed tiger; if they had to be non-extinct, some big cat or another.)

So yeah, I'd start by doing Science to it: do I have more strength, agility, balance, etc.? Does my diet have to change, or is this just an appearance thing? Do I still have opposable thumbs? How about my voice; can I talk? After determining all of this, I'd probably start checking the news and see that much of the world has had the same thing happen.

Now I start wondering who did it, but chances are I'm not going to find out because I'm not part of a government agency, so I'll keep up with the Internet and go about my business. I'd hope my boyfriend is okay being with me still, and I'd start sewing new pants for the tail I now have. Shoes would also need to be altered, but I expect there would be many stores cropping up for the sudden inrush of custom shoe orders. Alternatively, go barefoot where I can.

Then I'd have to break the news to my parents. "Hi, Mom, I'm half-cat now, don't worry about it, though." And I'm pretty sure that, because humanity is really freaking awesome at adapting, life would end up going on as normal. After all, even lottery winners tend to default to a certain state of happiness; we're very good at ignoring the weird and interesting stuff that happens in life once it becomes routine.

So yeah, I'd end up right back here at my computer, at work, filing my claws so they don't click so hard on my keys. :p

Probably stare in the mirror for a good hour or so as I tried to come to grips with my new appearance. After that...bunker down for at least a few days and keep an eye on the news (Suffice to say I'd expect some kind of fallout and I don't want to be among the initial casualties). Once things calm down a bit, check whatever site/FAQ popped up to see what people learned about it. Let's be honest, as much as I'd want to ask my doctor...this would be new ground and they'd be completely in the dark. More likely than not I could [initially] get a better handle on everything simply by comparing results with other affected people. After that...I dunno, continue life as normal, maybe check out a support group (you KNOW those will pop up) to meet people who underwent a similar change.

...I hope I'd still be able to eat chocolate :/

If we consider a "fur-only thing", it wouldnt change much. I'm already covered in hair (yah, I'm not a smooth, futurist human), it would just make cleaning more difficult. Wouldnt really change much unless there where other significant changes (Strength, anatomy, etc), and even then. Plus, if it was literally 50% of the world, discrimination would be insignificant (or very difficult at least). So yeah, it would do nothing to change my lifestyle.

Though I cant help but think of the "Apex" from starbound. Physical devolution for mental growth.

A more difficult question would be, what if everyone (and I mean everyone) suddenly woke up with the opposite gender. That would be complicated.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, being an anthropomorphic animal would be totally awesome. I would have a better sense of smell, a better sense of taste (I think), better hearing, and lastly, I'd be fluffy. Those other 50% of people wouldn't know what they're missing.

I would first freak out because this sudden change. Then I would check the news to see if this has affected anyone else. Sooner than later I would just accept my fate and carry on with life.

I would just hope that no conflict would happen between human and the furry people.

I dunno, I don't think things would be TOO different, as long as my wife became a furry also. I'd be a little bit confused, though, having recently been a human and all that.

I'd hope I'm better looking then than I am now, see it as a "looks-reroll".

how so? you'd probably be as much related to your dog then, as you do now to a chimpanzee.
minus the intelligence, that is.

I have thought about what would happen in the event of some form of mutations occuring to me and/or a significant amount of the population for quite some time, from superpowers, to becoming wizards, and as such, I have a plan.

Step 1: Avoid panic. Not quite sure how, I'm not exactly calm at the best of times, but it's essential that I do.
Step 2: Hide in my house for as long as possible, monitor the news and internet for response to the crisis. In the meantime, get used to the new form.
Step 3A: Humanity is hostile. Run as far and as fast as possible, try to find others to hide with. Live as best as possible under the radar.
Step 3B: Humanity is not hostile. Resume everyday life as normally as possible.

Start a Political party, non-governmential organisation or activist movement for Furries to ensure that our rights as non-human persons were properly dealt with to prevent the creation of a system that puts down yet another 'Other' in society.
That, and probably set up help for distraught furries who are having trouble dealing with their new body or with unwanted attention or aggression from humans.

I have not got a clue. Scream quite a bit. Be quite happy that a large amount of energy has been taken away from my stomach in order to be converted into other material (Tail, Fur) which would do wonders for my whole diet plan. I probably would try and find out why people had suddenly become furries. Seriously.

That would have some major religious consequences right there. Things would get very interesting very fast. I wonder how differently people would be wired, how much that would effect current chemical weapons and shit.

Maybe I am taking things just a little bit too seriously. But that is the kind of stuff that interests me.

Oh, and then I would find someone who wanted to have kinky anthropomorhpic sex. Because you know, that is what you would do.

I wouldn't be a normal, boring human, so that'd be cool. As for what I'd do... roam the world, I guess, since there'd be places that would be more easily accessible for animals.

I don't know, honestly. I've always wondered what it would be like to have a tail, for example. I don't want one, per se, but I've been curious.

Although I'm warm enough without a thick layer of fur. I'd either be shaving a lot or running the AC 9 months a year.
