Alright, I've been thinking about a premise for a game that seems completely obvious. Something that I don't think we've seen at all.
A superhero RPG.
Think about it, you create your hero/villain, you choose your powers and you make your costume and you have a big open world city and you go nuts. If I were making a game like that I'd go a bit more in depth (like including different ways your character got his/her powers and I really like the system in Champions where you create your own nemesis, so I'd include something like that too) but that's the general premise. Seems like a really obvious set up for a good game right? And yet, I've seen no one take a shot at making it.
I'm not including games like, City of Heroes or Champions online, or inFAMOUS or Prototype. CoH and Champions are MMOs. And inFamous and Prototype have you playing as Cole and Mercer and using their power sets. I'm thinking a fully customziable, single player, superhero RPG.
So, I ask you: Would you play that game? Also, are there any game premises that you think seem really obvious, and you're surprised no one has taken a shot at them?
