If you had the choice to be the parent (or guardian) of a fictional character (movie, game, show, book) - who would you want to raise? Is there anything you would try to teach them??

I think it would be kinda cool to raise Diablo (Blizzard's Diablo franchise). Even though he's a demon of some sort that causes terror in all, he was once just a baby. The only terror he caused then would be in his diapers (and we'd have mommy for that).

I'd teach him to always hold epic loot just in case he died too.
And one day he'll get a pimple where his future soul stone will be and it's just as bright and large as it too.

I'm tempted to say either of the girls from Elfen Lied, but that'd be suicide.
If you've seen it you'd know.
.
On a more serious note, I'd probably pick the bloke from Bulletstorm. I'd be the reason why he turned out to be so abnoxious and awesome.

Eiji, from Heroic Age. That would make me a member of the Golden Race who implanted a super-powerful monster inside of him to control.

Gannondorf, giving Link pictures of him pooing himself would be what keeps him going.

I'd wanna be Commander Shepard's dad.

"Human inducted into Spectres for the first time!"

That's my boy!

"Shepard saves the Citadel from destruction by a giant warship."

That's him!

"Shepard back from the dead. Again."

I raised that guy!

Etc.

I still don't like the term "to parent" very much. Damn you, change.

Hmmm... I can think of a good few from but more often than not something bad happens to their parents during the story. I suppose mostly it's the father though.

Maybe Doctor Who's mom. I die eventually but I get to live a long-ass time as timelord...although... I'd also have a sick attraction to my own son.

What's the alternate/previous/pre-change term?
I say to parent because I don't mean 'whose mother would you want to boink'.

The only one I can think of at the moment is Nel from Bleach although she an adult already in her true form. Howeve they don't exactly have parents. I guess I have to give her so proper English lesson eventhough I suck at it myself (I will send her to a good school).

Good question!

I'd parent Cole Phelps, so i can accuse him of lying at inopportune moments.

Me: So Cole, what did you do at school today?
Cole: We went on a school trip to the museum...
Me: Your lying Cole!!! Tell me what i want to know about your trip to the museum dammit!

Suwako from Touhou... an Earth Goddess? Sounds like a pretty sweet gig. Also simply because daughters > sons. Much more mental parenting with girls.

Also sorta ninja'd as I just thought of this topic last night but was too lazy to post >.>
