My personal favourite has got to be Storm Spirit. Zipping around the map is just too much fun for me, and his announcer pack is just brilliant.

My next favourite would be Phantom Assassin, because those big crits just make you feel awesome.

Drow Ranger is another hero I really like when I wanna be lazy because she is mainly passives for the most part. The only thing you need to worry about is silencing people.

And the same goes for Sniper too, but Sniper starts off a lot weaker than Drow so it depends on how good your opponents are if you can get to the point by which you annihilate the enemy team in a matter of seconds.

Wait what? Who the hell considers Sniper OP? He's squishy as fuck and once you break distance with him he's even more vulnerable than Drow Ranger. His laning is not so strong either because of his weak attack damage and no escape mechanism.
The only thing close to OP in Dota is Timbersaw and Huskar with Ghost Sceptre. And even Huskar was balanced with introduction of 6.79.
If Sniper gets his hands on a Desolator and any decent amount of attack speed and damage then he can kill an enemy before they even get close to him. Simply charging at him at that point is suicide (unless you happen to be Nightstalker).

I wouldn't say he is OP like Huskar for example but he can really do some serious damage. And he is the only hero in the game that can hit a tower from outside the tower range.

First game I played with Sniper I was 4 shotting weaker heroes by the end of the game. My attack speed had me shooting about 3 or 4 shots per second and because of the Desolator the more tanky heroes as well as the towers were just crumbling before they could even get in range of me.
Yeah no shit if sniper gets Desolator he will be scary. Except that proper team won't let him do that! All his incredible attack range won't help him when even 2 enemy heroes will dive him. I do agree that Sniper is strong at low-level games, but he is not OP. That's what I'm trying to say. Proper positioning and initiation will leave him in a pulp. Hell, any solid ganker will make short work of him, because he is completely helpless when caught off guard. So no, not a weak hero, not the strongest hero, just a good, balanced hero.

1) Slithice the Naga Siren. I love how versatile she is as a hero, able to take multiple roles, though I do like to play her as a hard carry (Either early Diffusal and take the mid-game or early Radiance and farm an entire jungle and a lane at the same time to get huge farm) also, love the voice acting.

2) Balanar the Night Stalker. The potential for aggression and the fear that night-time instills in the enemy is like ecstasy, the ability to dive like crazy and just feed off squishy supports or heroes that wander too far out is so fun

3) Banehallow the Lycanthrope. A really strong hero that can turn a small amount of room to farm into a quick Roshan or taking out buildings. His ulti is also very fun to use. One of my better heroes despite my rather mediocre micro skills.

4) Luna the Moon Rider. A glass cannon, very squishy with no escape mechanism, but you give her some space and she'll just tear right through you (Also, watching a Luna with Manta attack a barracks is mesmerising with the glaive bounces)

5) Lucifer the Doom. I like money. Money is good. Also, Doom (The skill) can be quite devastating in a teamfight, as can Level Death especially if you hit the bonus 20% of their health damage.

6) Mercurial the Spectre. Very interesting set of skills, the ability to pass through terrain, damage reflect, a pseudo unique attack modifier that deals very high damage and an ultimate that can get you into a fight no matter where you're currently farming (Because if you play Spectre, you will be farming. A lot.)

7) Slark the Nightcrawler. A cockney fish who happens to be the epitome of a snowball hero, whom after a prolonged fight (Easily possible with hit and run tactics) can steal huge amounts of agility allowing a complete roll over even farmed up heroes due to insane attack damage and speed.

8) Gondar the Bounty Hunter. Did I mention I liked money? Money is good. Also, Jinada really does lend itself to some hilarious situations if given a lot of farm (Easily possible if getting a bunch of track kills) to the point where you can 1 shot a support every few seconds.

9) Carl the Invoker. A very versatile skill set (Having 10 abilities to choose from and stuff to set up) is very fun to use, getting a successful combo off is also hugely satisfying (Anything from a simple Euls > Sunstrike to a Tornado > Chaos Meteor > Deafening Blast > Cold Snap/Sunstrike a survivor) though for the most part in pubs it's possible to just go a right-click Invoker sitting on Cold Snap and Forged Spirits for the majority of the game.

10) Lina the Slayer. Decent magical burst along with a short cooldown stun makes her a decent aggressive support. The gold she can get from picking up kills with Laguna Blade combined with her Fiery Soul passive also facilitates the a semi-carry or even full carry build (Carry Lina is best Lina) - Also really nice voice actor.

There are just a bevy of heroes with natural gap closers who can nullify his range advantage. I'm not even gonna bother naming them all (not the mention the heroes who typically build a blink dagger). He's just extremely easy to gank due to his low HP, relatively slow movement speed, lack of a hard disable, and lack of an escape mechanism.

Bonus info: Enchantress can hit towers outside of their range when she has an Aghanim's Scepter.

Witch Slayer (HoN):
Best setup-support in any MOBA I can think of, and the one I've put the most time into. His stun is actually better than the Dota 2 counterpart because it's wider and faster, too. But yeah, he's really fun to play if I have a good team, and he's one of the biggest playmakers in the game if you know how to play support.
His Dota 2-counterpart, Lion, is also fun, but he looks stupid and his stun isn't as good, so he doesn't even reach the list.

Windrunner (Dota 2):
Because GINGERS. Also, she's great. Getting a good shackle makes you feel manly.

Hammerstorm (HoN) / Sven (Dota 2):
Hammerstorm is manlier, but they're the same otherwise. Easy-to-play carry/initiator with a very good stun. You also hear KABOOMS whenever he hits something. Can't complain.

Queen of Pain (Dota 2):
Mobile, big nukes, semi-decent as a carry. Really fun to play if you've got the setup for her. One of the few heroes I have managed to completely wreck face with in a 5-man premade setting as well.
Wretched Hag from HoN is way worse than QoP is, and is therefore not included. :(

Ezreal (LoL)
Well-rounded carry with good mobility. One of the few genuinely fun heroes in LoL. Also the hero I played on my only pentakill in LoL, which was my second Ez-game ever.

Darius (LoL)
He's one of the best heroes at punishing mistakes in the early game, and he snowballs really hard at the same time, making him the ultimate pubstomper. Rage is often induced, m'yes. He's not actually fun to play otherwise, but he gets a spot on my list for how angry people get at me playing him.

Bubbles (HoN) / Puck (Dota 2)
Pubbles is a turtle and thus beats Puck. Another great jack-of-all-trades-hero with loads of mobility and defensive options, as well as good ganking and teamfight potential. He's a bit meh in lane, but whatever.

Gauntlet (HoN)
I FUCKING LOVE HOW THIS GUY PUNCHES FOOLS. Also, level 1 Kongor gets so easy with this dude.

Deadwood (HoN)
See Gauntlet, minus the level 1 Kongor and plus the DEADWOOD PUNCH. He also induces so much rage its ridiculous, so he gets the same bonus points as Darius.

Enigma (Dota 2) / Tempest (HoN)
He needs a bit of set-up, but good god that ultimate of his is a teamwrecker, especially when combined with heroes that also have huge AoE damage. Also one of the few junglers I enjoy, and his pushing is great.

There are some more, but these are close to my heart.

not sure I have 10 >.> tried playing LoL and Smite, and while I do like Smite more then LoL, competitive multiplayer is not my thing ...

That said, did have a few favorites in both, though none are for 'how good they are' over all and more 'I really like them'

In LoL:

Ahri; I like Ninetail foxes. The actual lore, not the drooling bastardization in Naruto, so I gravitated quickly to her. I'm a absolutely TERRIBLE LoL player, but I did do the best with her.

Shyvana; She turns into a fucking dragon, this should really explain it self.

Katarina; hot red head, though in her case I DID pick her up cause she seemed pretty good, and if I'd had the patience for those games I probably could a been good with her as I don't recall do terribly (for my rather low standard anyway)

Cassiopeia; She a naga, or gorgon, or w/e. Half Snake woman, don't see that as a playable thing often, and while I was absolutely dreadful with her I got her mostly cause its a thing I like.

In Smite, and heres where they start getting mechanical a little bit ...

Arachne; See Cassiopeia for the reasoning, only as a Drider

Bastet; She was one of the first I tried out (for those who don't know Smite has a couple modes that let you try ALL the gods rather then just the free ones and the ones you buy, you can not how ever, take them into any of the PvP modes, solo PvE stuff only) and she was just a lot of fun to play, plus, she summons big cat minions, she lets you mual people with Panthers (I think is what they where) and that's awesome :D

Fenrir; 1) he's a big ass black wolf, with cracked flaming bits. [http://www.backtothegeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/smite-moba-free-to-play-nouveau-dieu-hi-rez-studio.jpg] Bad.Ass. 2) He's a dick. No really, he's one of two character I like as a 'total package' in terms of looks and ability's. Seething Howl is a wonderful buff for what it does, Unchained was good for getting into and out of trouble, Brutalize is a nice little damage dealer at full Runes, and Ragnarok was just mean, as it allows you to grab an enemy player and DRAG THEM TO YOUR TOWER if your close enough and can be grabbed, other wise lots of damage. So yeah, he was fun, if a bit dickish >;3

Freya; Freya, like Bastet, was another of the characters I tried early on, and is my favorite of all of the ones I've tried, she's also the other 'total package' character in Smite I mentioned. Since how she looks should explain it self [http://s.cghub.com/files/Image/344001-345000/344657/844_max.jpg] I'll get to ability's, namely Pulse and Irradiate. Irradiate is a nice little boost to your melee damage, while Pulse, takes your normal melee attack and turns in into ranged attack with a slow debuff. Never really found a use (for how I play anyway) for Bansish out side a head start in situations when things start going badly and I need to leg it, and Valkyries Discretion didn't run them off/finish them off.

anyway, there's my picks. feel free to yell at me for being a noob :3

Ooh, tough topic.

10: Rylai, Crystal Maiden (Defense of the Ancients 2)

My favourite support from DotA 2 (I don't like DotA 2, but when I did play it I did pretty well with Crystal Maiden). Her mana aura goes a LONG way towards fixing the stupid mana gating problems the game imposes on every single hero in the game and her array of disables is amazing, while her ult is worthy of a top-class nuke mage.

9: Jinx, the Loose Cannon (League of Legends)

Harley Quinn as a MOBA character. Crazy, ditzy, snarky and completely psychotic, she's also a fun as HELL to play (in no small part due to the fact that she's as overtuned as FUCK). She's also the first LoL champions whose /laugh emote loops when it ends and she does Jake's "Shakin' It" dance from Adventure Time. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpRypccXif8]

8: Lord Erebus (Demigod)

Demigod was one of the saddest wastes of a great game in history. Admittedly it WAS the second major MOBA and the developers didn't really understand the appeal of the genre (loads and loads of characters) so they went for depth rather than breadth- every character in Demigod is several times deeper than any other character in any other MOBA, which is why there were only 10 of them. Erebus is the most awesome vampire I've ever seen in a MOBA- he can drain blood, turn into a cloud of life-draining mist, turn into a swarm of damaging bats, unlease a devastating hypnotic pulse than stuns every enemy nearby and command an army of the undead. Every other "vampire" in the genre is a pretender compared to him.

7: Shendelzare, the Vengeful Spirit (Defense of the Ancients 2)

My favourite DotA 2 hero. Sexy, menacing and packed with utility, her swap ability has so many uses. She can catch out and doom an enemy hero better than almost any other character except Pudge (and I hate Pudge).

6: Vi, the Piltover Enforcer (League of Legends)

Jinx's sworn enemy, Vi is a hextech punk rebel who loves to beat up criminals with her two mighty power fists. A lighning bruiser par excellence, she's a deadly ganker from the jungle and is attractive while barely showing any skin. She plays to my strengths- a kamikaze initiator who flies into your team, singles out your most important member and locks them down while taking and dealing out huge punishment.

5: Evelynn, the Widowmaker (League of Legends)

LoL's answer to Rikimaru (and aesthetically to Queen of Pain), Eve is a dead-sexy dhampyr assassin who attacks with weaponised hate and agony. I have a soft spot for Eve since (hipster glasses on) I truly played her before she was cool. Back in the old days, Eve was considered by FAR the worst champion in the game, to the point that simply picking her would often provoke calls of "gg" from your team. I persisted with her and managed to succeed and when she received a few buffs her popularity exploded so drastically that she almost took over the game. In fact, she was so unbalancing that Riot was forced to deliberately break her while they worked on a full rework for her. Striking with lightning speed, Evelynn makes a mockery of your ward network and can snowball until she's tearing your entire team to shreds.

4: Sejuani, the Winter's Wrath (League of Legends)

For a long time one of the most useless champions in LoL (COMPLETELY overshadowed by Amumu, who basically did the same thing only better) Sejuani's eventual rework gave her a new lease on life. A warrior princess riding a huge wild boar wielding an icy morningstar, Sej is tanky as hell, intimidating, LOADED with CC and she's simply my strongest champion. When I want to win, I play jungle Sejuani. Plus I still have her embarasingly stripperiffic original skin. [http://www.devilsmmo.com/sites/default/files/uploads/images/leagueoflegends/sejuani_concept_art_1280x731.jpg]

3: Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox (League of Legends)

She's not a kitsune, dammit, she's a gumiho! What the hell's the difference? Well what's the difference between a Cherokee Indian and a Bombay Indian? Rated the sexiest character in LoL by a landslide, Ahri earns this position despite being surprising un-skanky in her dress sense. A powerful high-mobility mage assassin, Ahri is another mid who doesn't so much snowball as landslide you. Her Charm is one of the game's best CCs in the game and she can put out powerful DPS as well as devastating burst. Finally, she dances to 'Run Devil Run' by Girls Generation. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krNyEn1CKGY]

2: Sona Buvelle, the Maven of the Strings (League of Legends)

Some call her boring, some call her OP, ALL call her sexy. Sona is my favourite support. She fills the "jack of all trades" role nicely, being able to poke, heal and provide move speed buffs for her team. And her awesome AoE stun ultimate can decide entire fights, which is exactly what a support wants to be able to do to make them feel relevant. Additionally, she's the 4-time consecutive winner of the annual "Best Boobs" contest on the LoL forums.

1: The Rook (Demigod)

Didn't see this one coming, did you? Yep, that titanic stone golem that looks like a walking castle, bigger than any other object on the map apart from the Citadels, is actually a playable character. He makes a 6-stack Cho'Gath look tiny. Why don't more MOBAs have characters this outrageous?

Ten? I'll go for three or i'll be posting an essay. In no particular order:

Ezreal

The League's resident cocky little brat. He can be the most aggravating AD Carry in the game if played well. Hell you spend most of the time past lane phase running away from the enemy team while simultaneously poking them to death. Arcane Shift is possibly my favourite spell in the game.

You get chased on 100HP then as they catch up to you, you disappear over a wall in a flash of yellow light. Then you fire another laser over the wall for good measure.

Jarvan IV

He dunks people so hard he rends the earth around him into a battle arena. I need say nothing else.

Twisted Fate

While TF suffers from the Rule of Solo Queue at times (if he's on your team he feeds horribly, if he's on the enemy team he's legendary within 15 minutes) he is so fucking cool. He throws playing cards at people that take half their health off late game.

He can teleport across the map near instantly so he can punish almost anything. I cannot stress how cool that is. Your top is getting dived and all of a sudden, random Twisted Fate lobbing a stun at them. Oh right and it reveals the entire enemy team. Which is huge by the way.

He gets countered by almost everything in lane though, he has zero all in capability. Gold Card, Wild Card... Oh right, where are my other two buttons?

[HEADING=2]1. Kassadin[/HEADING]
Void walker and all-round deliverer of pain. Kassadin has a built-in Flash ability, which leads to high mobility and general badassery; the quintessential anti-mage of LoL. The manoeuvers you can pull of as K. are practically limitless.

[HEADING=2]2. Malphite[/HEADING]
Nothing better than charging into an entire team of enemies and disabling them for a second. Meanwhile his seismic shard is a crippling target slow, and your shield prevents reply.

[HEADING=2]3. Gangplank[/HEADING]
An immensely fun character to play, whose minion kills are more rewarding and who scales like a b-e-a-s-t into the late-game. Everyone will fear and awe your crit Qs of 1,500+. Just watch that scurvy.

[HEADING=2]4. Akali[/HEADING]
Pretty much unescapable. Which can't be said for her when she dives into her pool and avoids your sight. A pleasure to play as, a pain to fight against.

[HEADING=2]5. Lux[/HEADING]
A stalwart mage, with support elements. As long as she stays away from the centre of a fight, she can turn things around in even the darkest situations (see Laserbeam).

[HEADING=2]6. Teemo[/HEADING]
A lot of people hate Teemo. I for one adore the little critter. Except when I'm stepping on one of his mushrooms. Or his poison gets me as I flee from his range ... Or when he pops out of invisibility to snipe me ...

[HEADING=2]7. Sion[/HEADING]
Many people take Sion as an Ability Power mage. These people are wrong. His axe should indicate to you his real purpose. Build some Attack Damage and watch as he eviscerates opponents with a single cleave. No, 100% lifesteal is not a glitch.

[HEADING=2]8. Rengar[/HEADING]
Okay, so he's underpowered now. And the AP options don't really work. And he gets pushed off Top-lane by anyone and their dog. But the Thrill of the Hunt is the most aptly named ability in the entire game, and as you leap from the vegetation, invisibly onto an unsuspecting champion, you will realise why.

[HEADING=2]9. Blitzcrank[/HEADING]
He doesn't care what hp you're on, or where you've escaped to. He's going to pull you into his teammates, and pulvarise the living daylights out of you.

[HEADING=2]10. Veigar[/HEADING]
Probably the best dialogue in the game. On top of that, you get to stun an entire circle of opponents, and then one-shot kill whichever one you like.

NO MEEPO LOVE? SHAME ON YOU ALL. =D

Yes, me likey Meepo. I have a complexity addiction which is shown by my inability to play Viper, but the willingness to play Chen, Visage, Invoker, and Meepo. It also just had to be the hardest micro hero, but who cares? All that matters is the ancient going down in 30 minutes.

There's also Shadow Fiend. Fucking love me some SF. Runs around like a boss, exploding anything he doesn't quite agree with. He's got some of the highest damage output, so figures that. I feel especially happy when I can screw a Prophet's day by ulting on top of him, thank you Shadow Blade.

Storm is up there too. Oh you think you got me? Goodbye~! Little ball of lightning never fails to amuse me. Especially little ball of lightning zipping around eating squishies.

Rubick best support/mid/ganker. No arguments. Excuse me as I solo a team with my scepter, alrighty?

I think I like Puck quite a bit because he/she/it is the best in ultimate solo annoyance. He/she/it also just won't die in the hands of an expert in a 1v1 matchup.

I'm not going to put more, because I could go on forever. =P

In MOBAs, I tend to like champions with incredible team fight potential even at the cost of individual utility and I think you'll see that reflected in my picks.

1) Lux - She literally has a tool for every situation from a long range snare, an AOE slow/nuke, a fantastic all purpose shield and, of course, a fast recycling laser of unending horror. Useful both as a mid lane mage or a Support!

2) Morgana - While somewhat weak in lane, Morgana is, in my opinion, that champion you pick when you have no idea what you're up against. Her passive lets her sustain in lane remarkably well and her ability to harass while farming is tremendous. She even does absurdly scary damage given enough time for the combo to work and, with black shield, is nearly immune to ganks. In team fights, she gets even better thanks to excellent crowd control and hard hitting spells and she's a perfect champion for backing any play. You might not get the kills with her often which is a turn off for some but I'm fine letting other people grab the stats.

3) Anivia - She does scary damage in a combo and has tremendous ability to command the battlefield. The combination of a stun, an excellent AOE ultimate and an ice wall that can easily isolate an out of position champion or protect a vulnerable companion make her an asset. Her built in guardian angel is just icing on the cake.

4) Fiora - I won't like, she's not the best champion. Her flaw, if you were to distill it, is that when she attacks, it is an all in endeavor. When you consider her utter lack of decent defensive options this is often risky. Still, she makes the list for being incredibly fun even if there are lots of matchups where she's sorely outmatched.

5) Ashe - Her combination of range, slows, that fantastic crystal arrow and much needed scouting tool make her a flexible ADC. Sadly, it is often a losing proposition given she has one of the slowest starts of all the carries and certainly one of the weakest innate offenses of the bunch. In many ways, she seems more like a support than a carry.

6) Kayle - Everything you want in a champion and one at home in any lane. Her slow is easily a nuke, her heal can sustain or enable easy pursuit or retreat, and the ability to throw flames from a fiery sword would be enough to get her on my list regardless. Throw in Intervention, a spell that can easily turn any engagement around, and you have a champion suitable for most any team.

7) Nami - While terrible alone, Nami is probably the most effective support across all situations. Her passive lets you speed allies, her heal can also deliver a fair poke (to several targets!), and she has access to a fast cycling stun along with an excellent ultimate. One of my favorite characters during my trip to level 30 and ranked play.

8) Jax - In many ways, he's Fiora without the weaknesses. The quintessential bruiser in every sense of the word with the perfect kit for the job. Nothing flashy just pure, simple and brutal effectiveness.

9) Quinn - Like Fiora, Quinn has a lot of flaws. She's supremely flexible but, unfortunately, her ultimate (which doubles your damage output) turns you into a melee character. Still, in spite of her flaws, I love playing as her especially with supports like Janna or Nami.

10) Shyvana - Like Jax, she's an excellent bruiser. She's surprisingly effective as a jungler even if ganks are a hair tricky to pull off. But, when you pop out of a jungle and turn into a full dragon while dragging your quarry further into the hostile part of a lane for a gank just once, you just have to love it.

No, she can't. She outranges the towers, sure, but you can't autocast on towers, thus you can't really hit them. You can hit a guy next to it, but that's it.

It's actually just Dota 2 now - it's not an acronym, thus you have DotA, then DotA:A and now it's Dota 2. Somewhat stupid, if you ask me but it's how it goes.

whats not to love he is meepo can be every where at once,
get boots of travel and you are everywhere you can 5v5 with only 6 players
his taunt to phantom lancer when he kills him "you and what army".
and no one at my level know how to play againts him.
but he dose have his down sides,
like countered very hard by half the heros in the game
eg lich earthshaker
lots of micro required
and many many more cons
But he is so much fun to play
and he got a buff recently I think its a buff not to sure.
the tranquility boots change and less night vision dose hurt though.
