Sadly, I don't have played more than these series.

No need to thank me for finishing your list, good sir.

In no particular order:

Kingdom Hearts series.
Final Fantasy series.
Pokemon series.
Fire Emblem series.
Metal Gear series.

All of these have, in my opinion, incredible plots, fun and immersive gameplay, impressive sounds and immense replay value. Therefore, they are my favourite serieses.

These may not contain my favourite games of all time, but they're the series who have consistantly served me well.

-Dead Or Alive
Tits aside, the series is not only very pretty, but also one of the most diverse and challenging fighting games out there. Fun to pick up and play, but oh so satisfying when you've mastered it. Beats Soul Calibur only die to the latest two offerings of Namco's series not quite reaching the standards of the first two Calibur games in my eyes.

-Splinter Cell
It's hard to find someone whose sat down with this series for more than an hour and has not enjoyed it. Whilst Metal Gear Solid was the first 3D stealth adventure, Splinter Cell could be considered a "stealth sim". Consistantly pretty, and highly underrated (when concerning the fourth game) Whilst the game lacks any real pull for multiplayer, it still consistantly pulls me back once a year for a re-play

-Halo
Halo is one of my favourite games of all time hands down. The series has over the years provided some pretty decent hours of entertainment, and Halo 1 consistantly requires an annual play through. Halo 3 also consistantly finds its way into my 360 even after nearly two years, thanks to some of the best multiplayer on a console (beaten in my eyes by Cod 4 and Gears of War, but definatly good for when excessive gore or uncolourful modern warfare are not the most appealing thing on the menu). Halo 2 however, sits in the shadows, next to it's legenedary older brother, and its younger, shinier brother with a couple more bells and tassles.

-Colin McRae
It's just badass, especially by the time you get to DiRt. Have loved rally games since I got Sega Rally on Sega Saturn for my eighth birthday, and Colin McRae has always been the series that stuck the closest to Sega's old agenda, even more so than Sega themselves.

-Legacy of Kain
Don't even get me started on why you need these games more than the controllers for the systems you currently own.
