7th legion. A C&C clone where units just love to wander off at random. Imagine how much fun it is to find your defensive force all the way in the enemy base every now and then.

Turn on the "evil cars" cheat in Saints Row 2. Much Hilarity ensues [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HilarityEnsues] as you dodge cars attempting to run you over.

I had two specific instances of this one, both times in a chopper:

1st) I was flying over an intersection in downtown [read: most cars there], and then the cars started pileing on top of eachother to try and get me. Oh so many explosions and people flying.

2nd) Now I decide to fly over the water......and lol as cars start driving off the pier into the water like lemmings.

Had a recent bug on Skyrim. After completing the conjuration ritual spell quest the unbound dremora remained stuck in the college. On other play throughs, he did nothing except yell at the occasional dragon. However, this time I did the quest before Ancano died. As a result, the dremora ran down from the roof, through the halls of attainment and attacked Ancano. However, Ancano did something I didn't expect and ran. I don't mean just keeping away from the dremora in the college, I mean pegged it out of Winterhold. I didn't see him again until one of the quests warped him back to the college. As for the dremora, no one has seen him since which is strange since he is unkillable.

Dragon's Dogma's pawns have provided me some funny AI failure moments. My favourite was during the Arisen's first fight with a cyclops outside the Encampment.

The Goblins were dead and the cyclops was getting low on health. Rook, being the "not quite smart enough to see a flaw in the plan" type, leapt onto the thing and climbed up to its face... where upon a final fireball spell from me sent the cyclops, with Rook in tow, tumbling off the cliff and onto the rocks below.

I had to get down there to revive the stupid fucker, but it was worth it for the hilarity of watching them plummet to their doom.

Also as a general note, my pawns have recently developed a habit of shouting out the names of enemies that aren't there. I think they're just paranoid, really. They'll scream about wolves, I'll get ready for the attack, but nothing ever shows up and we just continue on as normal.

EDIT: One more from Dragon's Dogma.

When you investigate the weird goings-on in the Catacombs underneath the Pawn Guild in Gran Soren, at the end of it all those tentacle monsters burst out of the floor. The pawns all say "We cannot fight them!" or stuff like that... then proceed to stand there hitting them with swords. I had to spam the "Come!" command just to get the fuckers to follow me out of the place. If I hadn't they'd have stayed there forever trying to hack the tentacles to death and all been killed in the process.

Cicero! Oh Sweet Cicero!

He always wants to be stood where I am, pushing me out of the way, usually off a cliff when sniping someone. And not to mention he doesnt shut up talking! Even when initiating conversation with someone I just get him drowning out the dialogue and the subtitles.

Worst of all, is how the AI never realises standing in a door way when I want to leave is not a good idea.

While playing Skyrim I encountered a strange-walking adventurer, so I recorded him! Naturally I had to punish him for his obscene behaviour.

Halo takes the prize for Ai failures hands down. A brief search on Youtube will yield dozens of clips featuring enemies hurling sticky grenades at their allies, watching them panic and scream before the are engulfed in an electric blue explosion. The Ai drivers are beyond terrible, and any level involving a cliff and a player in a gunner seat ends with gravity laughing at you.

Oh, and this one time, in Skyrim, I encountered the weirdest glitch ever. I found a Falmer that shrank constantly. The longer I stood there watching it, the smaller it got, but it was still as strong as a regular Falmer. It was really weird. I killed it once it became microscopic.

EDIT: Another time in Skyrim, a dragon flew into the side of a mountain while I was fighting it and it fell down upon collision. It was hilarious!

The Magic the Gathering game that Microprose released in 1997. I made a classic type 1 control deck in the deck builder and played a mirror match against the AI with it.

After playing for a bit, I did a massive Braingeyser on the AI, leaving it with only a few cards in its' deck, meaning it would lose in a few turns. On its' next turn, it played Timetwister, the one card that could save it. Then, for no reason other than having the necessary resources, countered the Timetwister.

Kat from Halo Reach had a tendency to drive the Warthog (military vehicle) off the cliff while I was acting as gunner on a mission.
Halo and driving, a story of hilarity and tragedy.

Halo 1 - they AI can't drive, only use the mounted guns.
Halo 2 - at last they can drive!.............around in circles and go nowhere
Halo 3 - they can drive at the enemy at least....let's hope they take the hint when you run out of rockets.
Actually in the first one they could get on the ghosts. I remember my jaw hitting the floor when I first saw that happen.

OP: I remember reloading Fallout 3 one time in big town. Now big town was my "fun time" town where I had given everyone power armour, miniguns, rocket launchers, stimpacks, grenades, you name it.

For some reason, they all decided the best thing for them to do upon reloading was to run to paradise falls and slaughter everyone (the sentry bot went with them). They then casually walked back. I was so, so confused.

Hearts of iron 3.. its 1943 world war two is being brutally fought across the globe with the empire of japan bogged down in fighting both the allies and comunist USA and the USSR, at which point the empire of japan decides to mount an amphibous operation .. in normandy :-|

Ooh, HoI... Great moments right there. I remember playing as Czechoslovakia, conqured Hungary, joined the Axis, USSR decleared war against Axis AND Allied Forces, Romania with my assist took over the western Soviet Union and UK landed on the shores on northern USSR and captured 80% of Soviet Union all by itself. And then the Allies attacked us. It was a glorious battle...
