When people try to do it to something I really attempted and gave my all, I demand proof. 95% of the time, they can't live up to their gloating. And then they give me 5$ to buy New Phyrexia packs with.

Every time you talk about a hard part in a game on this forum someone jumps in with 'derp you suck it was easy for me'

It's a phenomenon not dissimilar to the 'you found Dead Space scary? that game wasn't scary at all' syndrome - i.e. people gloating because of some self supposed superiority over a video game.

but dead space wasnt really scary....and Ill tell you now I'm not one of those people who watch horror movies..I scare just as easyly as anyone else

anyway yeah, I feel all good about myself when I finish a game or get through a hard part...then I realise theres a million people out there who probably got through it first go..Im not that great at games, and feel a little ashamed when I have to resort to putting it on "easy"

or even worse I get through a part without a problem I feel good...then realise I forgot to take it off "easy"....dammit

I used to do that to my friend because the two of us would race to get the highest gamerscore for fun and he started Mass Effect 2 on Insanity, then a day or two later I started and finished before him. Dumb ass tried using Vanguard on Insanity. Sure, it's possible, but Soldier is the way to go with Adrenaline Rush and all the weapons and ammo powers.

Don't really have many gamer friends, so I've never experienced that. Plus, I don't think I'm that guy.
I hope I'm not.

I was that guy once. I was on jtv watching someone kick ass in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, and decided to challenge him. So I played against him, live, on his stream, and utterly decimated him. Several times in a row. Eventually I stopped because he kept whining.
