Mine is Watchmen. I never read the comics but when I saw this movie I was astounded that the guy who made 300 could make such a deep and interesting film. This movie has it all: great acting, great story, great soundtrack, and great action all blended into a stunningly beautiful art style that ties the whole movie together.

So, Escapists, what are you're favorite movies?

Fight Club, or Pulp Fiction. Both are fantastic, and one involves Samuel L. Jackson.

Braveheart, hands down.

This post seems to have fairly low content, yet I have nothing left to say.

I really don't know. I hate having a favourite movie because there's so many things I like...

I guess it'd have to be a toss-up between Fight Club, Twelve Monkeys and A Scanner Darkly.

12 Angry Men. I wear my minority status proudly.
It is a very unique movie, somehow managing to stay very entertaining despite portraying a jury pretty realistically and only taking place in one room for all but 5 minutes of the film. It shows you a lot of interesting bits about human psychology.

Even though both Fight Club and The Prestige are also high-up contenders.

That's why you explain why you like it like I did.

This is down to personal tastes and all, but I really hated Braveheart. I suppose it suffers a lot because Scottish people - on the whole - hate it for being about as insulting as it can possibly get without looking as if it's actually trying to insult us, if you know what I mean.

What? Like it stereotypes you as a people? It does potray Scotland as the heroes.
