is there a charachter in any media who you see in a completly different way? weather for fun or you think there may be some merit to your Idea of what they are like

mine is

after you leave the Vault it turns into a civil vault war with one side wishing to open the vault for its own survival while the other wishing to keep it closed

depending on your actions you can choose who becomes in charge..the vault overseer (or someone else if you killed him) or Amata..and dictate what future is best for the vault

regardless of how you handle the situation (I'm pretty sure) Amata belives it is best you do not return to the vault because "youve changed"..I call BS

mabye Amata has inherited her fathers thing for "control" sure she seems reluctant to be overseer but mabye thats just an act she's putting on.Its HER who's changed..she has an opertunity to be overseer...but YOU the player are a threat, too much of an unpredictable wildcard, considering how you escaped in the first place and the fact youve done fine in the wastes...she's scared of you,

The protagonist of Persona 3 is an absolute dickbag who secretly hates having to go through all this "friendship" malarky. This is present regardless of any "blank slate" bullshit you try to argue over. There is no character development over any dialogue choices, it's either "i'll do it" "i'll do it but i'm slightly annoyed over it" or "fuck you I don't care" all game long

For the record, the option to say "I don't care" to your friends comes up disturbingly often even when you're pretty far into the game and are supposed to be bestest bros ever.

It's so at odds with the rest of the game... Every character is so well written with flaws and development and shit except the actual player character.

You can't keep the antisocial loner character archetype intact all the way throughout a friendship focused game. It just doesn't work! Even The World Ends With You had Neku move from the most misantropic guy ever to at least someone who cared for Shiki. Probably got more friendly after since I only got past a few days after Week 1 before leaving it.

I will say that I liked the guy during the Hermit Social Link, y'know the one where he forms a max link with a girl over the Internet while playing an MMO? He was pretty sweet during that and the post game scene with that Link maxed is hilarious. New OTP incoming.

Oh and I have mixed feeling about Faith in Mirror's Edge. Purely because of the fact that she can shoot people, multiple people with a shitload of guns. Despite her showing no signs of even acknowledging she did so and her character seems to be sort of against that sort of thing. Seriously you can wipe a room with a stolen LMG then she just drops it and continues running like nothing happened. So inconsistant

Is there an EA bashing comment in there somewhere? I'll let you decide.

[sub]But the answer is yes[/sub]

You know, you can drop the second H in character. The red squiggles bother me :|

Now that I'm done being a dickish grammar nazi, I agree on the Amata thing. I also like to think in FO:NV, Lily isn't actually a schizophrenic at all, but rather is putting on an act so you let your guard down when she isn't growling. I think she secretly plans to kill you as well, so that's why I never take her anywhere.

I always thought it was because he was just suicidal, desperately wanting to die and escape the hellhole he calls home and what he did in the Divide. He's crazy regardless.

Another Fallout related one, Boone planted the evidence you find. Thus his lack of reaction, and his being so easily swayed when you lie about it. I sincerely doubt that that librarian looking person seriously made a deal with the legion.

Sweet Jesus, it would take a fucking... I don't know to fix that OP.

Anyways, I can't think of any that come to mind, although this may be because I have no idea what the hell is going on in here.

Your spelling is pretty acceptable, just a few words you consistently misspell bother me.

I just imagine a meeting between her and a bunch of big burly badass slavers too ridiculous to fathom. And I came up with that reason simply because he wants to kill somebody. I think he would prefer the old innkeeper as opposed to somebody useful.

Dante (The DMC1 and DMC 3 versions of Dante that is) is a actually incredibly cunning and powerful demon slayer who plays up the cocky attitude in order to hide what a badass he really is.

In Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced the player character Marche is an evil villain attempting to destroy the world who has deluded himself into thinking it would save everyone.

How about this one;The Courier does not survive getting shot in the head and the entirety of the game is a fantasy/dream of revenge as the Courier is dying. It could go to explain how the Courier can go from a weak and defenseless nobody to essentially Death incarnate.

James from Silent Hill 2 is of below average intelligence. Why? He sticks his hand down a filthy toliet and doesn't wash, he sticks his hand in a small hole in the whole only to be bitten and he jumps down numerous holes in the ground where he can't see the bottom.

Caesar in New Vegas isn't a monster, it's just a role he accepts. He believes humanity works best when there's a quantifiable, mutual threat to tackle but with the Enclave essentially destroyed that threat no longer exists. By forming the Legion and encouraging their atrocities he's simultaneously giving a rallying cry to the best humanity has in that world and grouping its worst examples together in one mass.

That's why his target is the Hoover Damn, it's of vital importance for the NCR and the electricity it generates is also vital for rebuilding humanity. But it's near worthless for the Legion and their beliefs.

He encourages the use of melee and limited firearms against the NCR's professional armies because the loses will always be high on his side and the hapless monsters under his command see this as culling the weak, they stay and fight, more die.

The threat he poses can potentially form an alliance between the NCR, The BoS, The Boomers, The Strip Families, Enclave Remnants, The FotA and even the Khans. With these specialties working together the hope for civilized humanity is strengthened. The Legion has a massive spy network, there's no way Caesar couldn't know this was happening but he did nothing to stop it.

Sometimes you have to play the villain of the piece.

The hero from Titanquest is actually a vicious oppressor of womankind (yes, even if she's female) going as far as to carry out genocide on several races in order to keep alive the patriarchy!

As clearly evidenced by the personal belongings of the real heroes he or she regularly hunts down and kills.

Oh Vault, spelling/grammar and you just aren't friends, are you? :p

Anyway, mine would be Brick (his NPC persona in Borderlands 2). If you think of everything he gets you to do as being based around him thinking of you as a threat to his badassery, he becomes an amusingly insecure character who keeps expecting you to fail, and wanting to have the chance to bail you out.

You sir, just blew my mind.

I always kind of agreed with the Legion. Bureaucracy doesn?t make sense in a post apocalypse world.

Shylocke is not an evil, money-grubbing asshole. Shylocke is, without a doubt in my mind, the hero of the piece, fighting in vain against a system which hates and dehumanizes him simply because he's a jew, and Shylocke's eventual "Defeat" in a court of law when trying to extract his due is one of the greatest injustices in all of literature.

Hate to nix this but in one of the DLC's you can get into an argument with your brain about the various situations you've gotten into...

and how it wants to pin everything on your glands and stay with the Think Tank.

Of course there is extenuating circumstances so I generally play my Courier exactly how you described.

One lucky SOB who is also several screws loose.

interesting theory but he actually gets you to destroy different groups including the brotherhood, etc
True. But the open nature of the game makes it difficult to form a concrete theory on just about anything, I suppose it could be said that if the Courier allies with Caesar the NCR - Brotherhood alliance is never made. Which means this branch of BoS maintains their tech hoarding ways which is definitely a detriment to humanities chances. Destroying them would probably be a boon, more advanced tech to go around, so Caesar's quest could be seen as helping. But it's reaching a bit I admit.
