WHAT! Turnip man coming to my home!? That nutritious villain could never change his ways!

But seriously... Yeah totally I'd forgive him/her. I'd probably have forgiven them before s/he turned up at my house. I don't really hold grudges

I'd forgive them if they were sincerely remorseful for being a huge douche-nozzle, that wouldn't stop me from always being suspicious, and watching for their old ways.

Well of course I'd be slow to believe the apology was sincere, but I would be capable of forgiveness.

I doubt I'd want them to stay in contact, but if what they want is just to be forgiven, I can do that. Although admittedly, depending on the level of torment, I'd probably have some condition beforehand...My Name is Earl style.

Yeah, wankers cramp you better be sorry.

In short, no I wouldn't forgive the person. I don't care what they say, if you put me through hell I will never forgive you. Ever. I will curse your every iota of being until the day you die.

Forgive him? For all of the days and months and years they've tormented me?

NEVER!

...unless there's some form of compensation and they promise to have their vocal chords cut...

For years, a man/women has been tormenting you in different ways. Kicking you in the shins, making fun of your purple underpants, stealing your girlfriend/boyfriend, ect.

Anyway, one day he/she comes to your home...and you don't need to grab the shotgun.

He/she wants to apologize for all the things he/she has done to you.

would you forgive this person?

EDIT: FUUUUUUUUUUUUU- I didn't add a poll!
Don't accept their apology, annoy them more than they ever annoyed you in your lifetime.

If it was MY arch nemesis? No instead i would toss salt and pepper into his face, stab him, then roll him into a ditch.

Considering that there is a person in my life that I consider to be my arch-nemesis, I would say "Write a formal apology on Facebook for everyone that you lied to about me to see, then come in, I have some ice cream." And then I'd proceed to make her feel like a major ***** by being super nice to her!

I'd tell him to get his sorry ass out of my house and go cry somewhere else.
I've done this before, a jerkass of epic proportions bullied me for about 10 years, and after a couple of years he saw me at a festival, he got on his knees and begged me to forgive him. Told him to sod off, because if i had to forgive him, it meant he wasn't capable of forgiving himself, and i consider that a failure.
I left him sitting and crying there, didn't see or hear him the last 5 years.

Throw my poop at them. Almost did this once but was literally dragged out of the bar for acting like a total fucking nutcase. Trying your best to shit into your hand in a crowded bar isnt THAT mental.

True story.

If Stephenie Meyer came to my house, I would punch her in her fucking jaw.

No fucking way I'm gonna let you get away with your awful actions, you literary repugnant *****!

Dieee!

... Now that I think about it, if I got some of that cash she's making I might not kill her at least.
If you killed her then you could have ALL of that cash :D Plus you'd be making the world a much better place! My sister would never forgive you though...

Well, I can only imagine Biff from Back to the Future right now, and I guess I could forgive those kind of oafish high school antics. I mean, any of those little rivalries I had as a kid have been resolved already :p I don't think anyone's ever wronged me so badly that I couldn't forgive them for it... yet...

If Nemesis is the ass who made my high school life hell:
I'd look at him and say "yeah, I want to forgive you, but I dunno if I even CAN. There will always be some kind of animosity towards you.".

Or I'd just leave it at "Whatever" and close the door.

Well my "nemisis" would never say sorry because they're a backwards, arrogant thug. I would automatically expect it to be some kind of trap and quickly kick him in the nuts before closing the door. Can't fool me >.> ...

Kotick...
The time has come at last.

Seriously... I'd probably just be silent and close the door. I don't want to give off strong signals at either end of the spectrum, and I don't really want them coming to my house ever again. As Jenova Chen once said:
"If you want to teach players not to do something, you don't need to smack them. You need to give them zero feedback."
So yeah. Games and their evil, mind-twisting creators have taught me that reality is a game for sure.

I know full well who had tormented me during my high school years (it's more then one person). I had already cut ties with them (I reject being friend with them on Facebook) so I have no idea what they are doing right now. If they do come to my house to apologise, I tell them my mind on what they did to me.
I would forgive them but only if they never ever see, heard or communicate with me in any way again. By not communicating with them, I forgiving as in they are not bothering or tormenting me in this current present day.
