Bioware's story and characters with Bethesda's open world's and maybe even throw in some Valve.
I gotta change my pants...

Then we'll have the old over-the-top GTA gameplay back, with the amazing graphics and humor of the new ones.
That sounds great but whatever happens I first have to eat this chalk and cheese sandwich which I am sure will be delicious.Void(null) said:BioWare with Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, Jason Anderson, Chris Avellone and Mark O'Green. Now that would be perfection.
You obviously have absolutely no idea about the history of Western RPG's, nor the history of BioWare and its Staff.More Fun To Compute said:That sounds great but whatever happens I first have to eat this chalk and cheese sandwich which I am sure will be delicious.Void(null) said:BioWare with Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, Jason Anderson, Chris Avellone and Mark O'Green. Aslong as they keep Treyarch and IW away from the multiplayer after what WaW multi was and after what IW did to the PC version of MW2.Barziboy said:Ok...so here's the story...
I recently started playing Battlefield 2 and realised how good it was compared to all these new ones you get (on the possible exception of Bad Company 2, but I have yet to try it). When playing this, I though of some areas in which it was great but could have been so much better on todays generation of consoles and such, as you do.
So then I thought: "Wouldn't it be Great if Infinity Ward (Call of Duty, Modern Warfare series), DICE (Battlefield series), and maybe even throw in some Treyarch (Call of Duty: World at War, Nazi Zombies) all got together and made the best Multiplayer War game Ever?"
I've never seen why they haven't already done it; they'd make enough money to "buy St. Paul's Cathedral and grind it into a fine, snortable power", be popular enough to make sure that everyone will play it everywhere and probably end all war everywhere.
Anyway, the question I give to you folk is: If You were to Influence the Game Designers into joining forces with other game desingers to make the Best Game Ever, what Game Designers would you Join and what kind of Game would it be?
I get the impression that you are cutting that story short because you don't know it but feel free to elaborate if you want.Void(null) said:To cut a very long and insidious story short, the Developers from BioWare Troika and Obsidian all stem from a massive split off of the Black isle staff from the rest of the company to the point that all 3 of them claim they created Baldurs Gate and both Troika and Obsidian lay claim to Fallout.
If you are going to accuse me of having no idea then at least don't insult me with nonsense like this.Void(null) said:In short.
No Black Isle, no Western RPG's, No Bioware.
Wow! Someone rememebered Timesplitters! Well done. Got to feel sorry for Free Radical...they made some bloody good music too.TheSeventhLoneWolf said:Valve + Free Radical + Pandemic. It would be the best timesplitters game ever.
To be hopnest, I was mostly thinking of Nazi Zombies there, I personnal don't like what Call of Duty online Multiplayer does to people, from what I see on my brother...Barziboy said:Aslong as they keep Treyarch and IW away from the multiplayer after what WaW multi was and after what IW did to the PC version of MW2.

Black Isle Studios was a division of the computer and video game developer and publisher Interplay Entertainment, created specifically for the development of computer role-playing games. It was based in Orange County, California, USA. The division was formed during 1996, adopting the name "Black Isle Studios" during 1998. The idea for the division's name came from the Black Isle in Scotland - founder Feargus Urquhart's native country. Black Isle Studios is most famous for working on Planescape: Torment, though they also achieved success with the Fallout, Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate series of computer role-playing games, though it merely published the Baldur's Gate series.
BioWareThe division was formed during 1996, adopting the name "Black Isle Studios" during 1998.[2] The idea for the division's name came from the Black Isle in Scotland - founder Feargus Urquhart's native country.[3] Black Isle Studios is most famous for working on the Fallout and Baldur's Gate series of computer role-playing games, though it only published the Baldur's Gate series.
In 1998, several key members responsible for the division's first title, Fallout, left Interplay to form Troika Games after they "were unable to come to an agreement with Interplay as to how [their] next team should be structured". On December 8, 2003, in the midst of serious financial difficulties, Interplay laid off the entire Black Isle Studios staff. As of 2007, Interplay has neither explained the move nor clarified what the future holds for Black Isle Studios, but considering the fact that Interplay itself is now a company in serious financial straits, the future of Black Isle is grim indeed. Many former Black Isle Studios employees now work at Obsidian Entertainment, a video game development company.
In November 2007, Interplay reopened in-house development and hired Fallout developer Jason D. Anderson as creative director for an unannounced non-Fallout MMO. It is possible that Anderson is also working on the already announced Interplay's Fallout MMO, given that he is the contact name of Interplay's jobs appliance and that Fallout is referred in the job requirements. The division headed by Anderson might be named Black Isle Studios, but it has not been confirmed yet.
Obsidian EntertainmentBioWare was established in February 1995 by Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk, and Augustine Yip, who had graduated together from medical school at the University of Alberta. Its first game was released the following year. During its ten years as an independent company, BioWare developed Shattered Steel, the Baldur's Gate series, MDK2, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire. It had publishing relationships with Interplay (through Black Isle Studios), Infogrames/Atari, LucasArts, and Microsoft.
TroikaObsidian Entertainment is an American video game developer founded in 2003 after the disestablishment of Interplay Productions' Black Isle Studios, for PC and console systems. Obsidian continues to operate under management by its founding officers: Feargus Urquhart, Chris Parker, Darren Monahan, Chris Avellone and Chris Jones. In July 2005, they hired Josh Sawyer of Icewind Dale fame.
The rest you're going to have to go digging for yourself. But in essence most of the major western RPG developers stem from a breakup with Black Isle and since then the above three companies have shared a rather incestuous relationship with one another. In 1997 Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky and Jason D. Anderson were working on the Fallout sequel at Interplay. Finishing the initial design for Fallout 2, they were unable to come to an agreement with Interplay about the future team structure. They decide to leave Interplay to form a company that felt more like the old Interplay, producing computer role-playing games for PC in 1997. They formed their company on April 1, 1998, calling their new company Troika Games (a Russian word "Тройка" meaning "three of any kind"), since they were the three key Designers/Artists/Coders behind the critically acclaimed Fallout. They initially planned to do games exclusively for one publisher (Sierra Entertainment), but every game was published by a different company.
After disappointing sales on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and unable to secure funding for future projects, they were forced to lay off their staff in late 2004; and closed their doors on February 28, 2005.
What I want to know in particular is how the Troika enjoyed their working relationship with Bioware and how Bioware were formed as a spin off from Black Isle. Also explain how the Troika can claim to have created Baldur's Gate. BioWare was not created as a result of Black Isle (Obsidian and Troika were) but many of BioWares former and current big name creative staff had roots at Black Isle.More Fun To Compute said:What I want to know in particular is how the Troika enjoyed their working relationship with Bioware and how Bioware were formed as a spin off from Black Isle.
