Here's a recent one:
GoW online - The most nerve-racking yet most goddamn satisfying chainsaw kill I had to pull. Here we are, 1 v 1, the last two men standing on Gridlock.
The guy on the opposite team had amassed quite a huge record of kills during our playtime and during a few rounds he managed to take our whole team out single-handedly so the pressure was REALLY on me to win. I look to the lower left corner of my screen and I see the Torque Bow icon with the word "Taken" highlighted in Blue (I was a Theron Guard). I also knew that my enemy had picked up the sniper rifle before everyone else died since he downed me once with it. There was no way to take this guy head on, so I did what I do best: running away and using the cover system like a pussy. My first attempt at killing him from behind had failed because he had already seen me coming with my shotgun out. He fired at me with one arrow but missed and I run off as a sniper shot scraped my back.
Hiding in the area next to the sniper staircase, I see that he was trying to lure me out by firing the Torque. I peek my head out and hear the distinctive crack of the sniper rifle as the trail passes me, barely missing my jaw. At this point I had to think, but this was no time to write down a mathematical proof after I nearly had my head splattered like a melon, so my mental processing went like this: Sniper=Zoom function--->Shot was fired--->Wait for reload--->Chance of enemy zooming again=Most likely--->I should run now. And so I did. I ran to the middle at the grenade spawn, made a U turn abusing the cover system along the way until I reached the metal rail in the street a few yards away from my enemy. This was the opening I had been looking for. I figured that he still thought I was in the same spot because he kept firing arrows in the same area to flush me out. So I waited behind the rail, my trusty Lancer in my hand. The timer starts ticking, one minute left in the game before it becomes a tie. My adversary then figured he had to find me quickly before the time elapses so he walks away from his area. I was still in my same hiding spot, frozen.
Then I realized he was getting mighty close to the metal railing and I became both nervous and invigorated at the same time. His back turned away, I jumped over the rail and ran towards him, my thumb itching to hit the B button but my mind telling me if I hit it too early I will be fucked. Finally, after I was in close proximity I unleashed the chainsaw upon him, the sound of metal grinding through the 3D flesh and bone, my nemesis' arms flailing about before my Locust tore him in two.
So it ended and the lobby pops up, laughter ensued and all voice icons were up save for mine and my opponent. We sat there on our arses and we knew. It was a good game.
Then I stopped playing and went over to my Team Fortress 2 invite.
