I got Assassin's Creed 1, back when it first came out, for a tenner off e-bay. "Awesome" i thought, only to find there was no case. Just a plastic sleeve with a disc and CD key in.

For per hour of play value probably GTA IV and Condemned 2 in a 2-for-£20 deal. This was two years ago and both were pre-owned so eh.

Best new game I got was probably the God of War collection. I bought it in Florida for about $25, which equates to cheaper than the domestic price of around the same in GBP.

I once bought half life one at EB for $10, but the clerk but the HL2 discs and manual in the box. That was a week or two after release too.

As someone else said on this thread, the Age of Empires 3 Collection, all three games, for ten cents. That's $39.89 off full price. Damn.

Also, I'm probably going to buy it today, the Viva Piñata PC port on GFWL for a buck. It's usually twenty, so I can't pass this up. Do you guys think it's worth it?

Yes, Viva Pinata is the best game Rare have made on current generation consoles. Wait a minute... that isn't an impressive feat in all honesty. So ignore that, it is damn good.

walked into gamestation, there was a new guy at the till (or register to you) I ask for a new xbox 360 controller, he doles out the usual selection. One of them includes one of those limited edition controllers with the Halo 3 concept art skin that they were giving out at the release. I ask how much it is, knowing full well it would cost over £50 at this time.

I got it for £10. Epic win

i got the hardened edition of modern warfare 2 for $30 on ebay when the cheapest regular edition you could find was about $40 on ebay. so awesome. thank you, economic principles of supply and demand.
