So I was playing Uncharted: Drakes Fortune on the ps3 I paid £300 for, and I was pretty annoyed, because as it turns out I don't like Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. I realised after this, that a lot of the games I bought the ps3 to play turned out to be quite underwhelming, and I've probably watsed a lot of money as a result. I've bought things and regretted it before, but never quite so much as I regret this.

What's the biggest amount of money you've ever spent that you totally regret? Have you ever blown huge amounts and totally kicked yourself for it later? Share your stories!

Probably all the money I spent on one of my ex-girlfriends. 'Oh, he's so witty!' but no, seriously, she was a waste. It was years ago now but I'm still bitter about it. Train fares back home from uni every other weekend to come see her, birthday and Christmas presents for 2 years, urrrgh.

I bought a PS3 with two games for £250 last year. I also got a few more games for it as well. I now next to never play my PS3, I watch Blu-Ray films on it, that's about it.

Also, Fifa 11. Not because it is a bad game, it is a brilliant game. Ultimate Team. You can get extra players by buying packs with Microsoft points. It's all luck though, you never know what players you are going to get, and there is an element of excitement when buying new packs. A bit like people who can't stop gambling really. I spent so much money on packs to build a team, looking back on it I was very stupid. But I have vowed that when Fifa 12 comes out next month, I will not spend a single penny on packs :)

Ciggarets, still wasting money on it...
Don't you enjoy them still, at least?
True, but thinking back and trying to add up the ammount of money spend over the years, i wish i didn't. It's the enjoyment just as much as the addiction makeing it hard to quit, so you've got a good point.

I'll reward you with a better answer, electronic ciggaret, that overprized piece of shit is probably the stupidest thing i've bought, doens't feel like smoking, doesn't help, needs constant refilling/recharging, and it dropped over 100$ after i got it, since it was brand new when i got it

Call of Duty: Black Ops
Payed $60 for the PC version for a 7 hours story mode and crappy multiplayer.

Final Fantasy 13

Mainly 'cause i still haven't bothered playing the whole thing, but as a regular watcher of anime i know the japanese love a slow start to their greatest epics so maybe i'll be interested some day when i just ass myself with playing it.

Other than that i'm usually very careful with my money and make sure to look into things before buying them. Only thing i'll usually buy on impulse is chocolate, but i love chocolate so i don't really feel like the money's wasted >_>

going on match.com

i spent over £80 joining the site on someone's recommendation and it was the biggest waste of money AND time i've ever known. the person who recommended it met someone on the site but they soon split up so it really didn't bode well. one of my friends was on it and he couldn't wait to tell them where to stick it when it came to the end of the subscription

A constant source of excessive expenditure. Even when you try to be frugal, it's hard to keep things within budget.
