I was exposed to The Sandman at a relatively young age, I didnt know what it was when I picked up my brothers comic but one image really stuck with me

Stairs. Spiral stairs, more specifically.
I can't tell you how many times I'm climbing a really tall spiral stair case and then the dream just pulls me over them, and I fall and fall.
Also, anytime I'm up really high in a dream, gravity hates me and will defy the laws of physics to kill me.
