I've never been in a relationship that would make me write a put-down song like this; I love it.

I know I'm starting to heal when I seek out this song. An oldie but it works for me:

Hey - I sought this song out. I must be starting to heal! It's about bloody time.

Even though it's really recent, F**k You by Cee-Lo Green. The song always makes you happy and that chorus says exactly what you need it to. Cuz after you break up, you're hurt and there's something very gratifying about just saying 'F**k you and f**k her too!'

Music helps me with every sad/unfortunate/annoying things, shortcomings and break-ups in life.

I would have a bazillion of songs for this occasion as well. but this is one of my very favorite songs and absolutely perfectly in place in these kinds of situations like no other:

Smile - Lily Allen
It's all your Fault - Pink
Who Knew - Pink

And in the later stages, when trying to stop myself rebounding:
Whataya want from me - Pink

Yes I may have a slight Pink problem, but she's one of the most empowering female artists out there at the moment.

After the breakup I went through, I held onto my emotions for about two days, bottled up, and then as I turned on my MP3 player to go to bed, this came on:

As soon as it hit the chorus, everything bottled up just let go. I felt miserable crying like that, but I guess in retrospect, it was definitely needed.

As for what helped me cope:

I must have played this song over and over.

Though if it were more recent it would probably be some Radiohead, something like
