I thought this thread was for songs you listen to when you can't sleep... Oh well, this is mine.

It's a Finnish song and the title means "Loneliness". It's a great song <3

This:

Coincidentally, this song also describes my feelings about my excitement for the game.

You listened to that looped? Damn more power to you, I'd open my wrists. I'm not trying to offend, it's just really not my thing :p

OT: I've never looped a song really late into the night or anything, but this song has been consuming my life lately. Mostly because the lyrics fit my situation right now.

Final Fantasy x soundtrack.
Cant be arsed to name names.

I would come home from the night shift at work and try to fall asleep to FFX while the midday sun would shine through my curtains.

I get that with Homestuck music, all the time. There's a great many songs I've lain awake playing over and over again in my head until two in the morning from that particular webcomic-with-animated-bits, though I s'pose the two I got it with the most have to be Explore [http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/explore] and Showtime (Imp Strife Mix) [http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/showtime-imp-strife-mix].

I've been listening to music like this since the expansion of cd players and the repeat track function. I have sleep songs, not "can't sleep" songs... get it?
Don't play it too loud, if you don't have too.

Please try these, if you haven't
Duke Ellington - Blues in Orbit (there aint too much that this song can't cure.)
Duke Ellington - Isfahan
Thievery Corporation - Language Symbolique
Sharon Apple - Borderline
Nobuo Uematsu - Provincial Town (my fiance teases me right up until the point where she passes the f*ck out)
Sometimes, I'm in the mood for SRV... Aaliyah has a bunch of good ones, Janet has a couple, some jazz works too. There area couple brilliant peices by Kodo, unfortunately I dont know the correct name of them. Listen to dramatic classical and opera if you need nightmare fuel. sometimes, it you listen to a song with words that you know by heart, in your dream, some of your projections will sing the song to you, its pretty cool. That happened to me during a week long session of "Night Shade Mary" by the Latin Playboys

Numerous other mellow and lounge songs to induce trancey state. I prefer the unobtrusive mellowness to sleep to, I dunno how you guys could possibly fall asleep to some of those 128 bpm techno anime themes, but to each their own.

My current favourite for the last three or four weeks is a bansuri composition (bansuri + tabla) by Ravi Shankar.... i'll try to find out the name of it tonight, and share it with you tomorrow ^_^

Well yeah, only we're talking about 'can't sleep because I can't stop listening' songs, not 'need to sleep, so I will set the mood with this' songs.

Great music you have there though- I've always been a huge fan of Thievery Corporation in particular.

Ahhhhhh I get it now, my mistake! hmmm in THAT case, I can understand the electro music. Drum & Bass would keep me up - And dubstep too -

even the original would keep me up

I thought this thread was about songs you listen to when you can't sleep. I had answers prepared, and now I'm having trouble thinking about ones that fit the actual question.

I can listen to this like 90 times in a row, though:

This one technically covers both what I thought (Songs you listen to when you can't sleep) and the actual question (Just one more time):

Aimee Mann--The Scientist (Coldplay cover)

I may get this one out of my system, but for now, this is another i'll loop:

And Dio's still got a hold on me....
