I have only 1 answer to your minor DBZ references......

I shall now leave you lovely people to debate amongst yourselves over your second rate badass types.

Well shit.

Vegito does looks cooler though...
And he's more powerful. I mean sure SS4 Gogeta is probably more powerful but that's GT and GT smells so it doesn't count. And besides Gogeta never actually appeared in the original manga.
Why was GT so goddamn terrible? :D
Oh god where do I begin? Stupid plot holes, annoying as fuck characters (I hate you, Pan. So very much), everyone except Goku is completely useless (even more so than DBZ), Vegeta's a complete pussy and really weird logic. Oh and they killed off Piccolo!

Piccolos death actually got a few tears from me.

Which is weird.

Certainly not a badass in the traditional sense, but the fact that he always comes out on top without batting an eye was pretty great. Plus when we were kids people were actually stupid enough to fall for this.

Pfft!

I didn't watch much X-Men so I cant really pass judgement on that, ut from what I saw, Remi Lebau was cool.
Also, well yeah... it's Batman.. his name pretty much rhymes with Badass anyway xD

Cable from X-men TAS. Dude only appears for like half a dozen episodes, but in them he rocks up with a big gun and lays out righteous hurt.

I think we are all forgetting someone, now this person had no skills in the way of the sword, no one liners, no superpowers of any kind. However what he did have, was something that most of us can't seem to gather. Especially in the face of our worse nightmares, what this person had was.

I'm serious to me Courage the cowardly dog was a badass. Yes he was afraid, but he faced those fears head on, truly one of the manliest characters in my childhood.

Not really from a children's series, but:

I've loved the Tremors movies ever since I was a little kid, due in no small part to how completely badass Burt Gummer is. His over-the-top paranoia, his hilariously serious demeanor, his "there is no such thing as overkill" philosophy, the way even his best preparations always have a tendency to blow up in his face; everything about him just entertaining. To this day, he's still my all-time favourite movie hero.

Loved the A-Team as a kid. Although the movie did a better job explaining why they are a team, the TV series is pure 80s excess.

I like the idea of functioning psychotics and here is the poster child of them.
