I had one, but he had no name. He was just mah teddy bear.

I saw a really cute stuffed wild boar today and I kinda felt like buying it, but I'm poor and have better things to spend my money on. BESIDES, I'M A MANLY MAN WHO NEEDS NO STUFFED ANIMALS.

EDIT: Oh right, I had this one thing wich was basically a rag (or, it became a rag - it must have been high quality when I got it) attached to a stuffed orb which was its head. It looked kind of like a blue ghost with a floppy pointy hat. I named it Popje, which literally means 'Little Doll'. Although it's wasn't really a doll.

I had a huge collection of stuffed animals. Then I moved house. 3 years later, I moved house again, having never once opened the box containing all my various fluffy friends. So they went to the charity shop.

But I was very fond of Percy (named after the train in Thomas the Tank Engine). A red dragon, who I'd had for as long as I could remember. One of his wings tore when I was 8, and I insisted on fixing it myself. It was noticeably shorter than the other one from then onwards...
All of my stuffed toys were essentially physical avatars of imaginary friends. We went through many stories together, my toys and me. Time to poke around my imagination for a while, see if any of them are still living there.

And now I'm hoping I can find some of my stuffed toys in the attic somewhere. Stupid Toy Story 3, making me feel bad for leaving behind my childhood toys.

I used to have a small flannellette pillow I always put on top of my regular pillow. It wasn't emotionally attached to it really, but I did take it with me when I stayed at my dad's place.

Because it was made of such a flimsy material it would frequently get holes and had to be sewed up by my mother every couple of months. Eventually she just threw it out one day. I was kind of upset when she admitted it (claiming it was too old to keep fixing and I would just have to live without it), but I got over it in about five minutes.

I think she was either tired of fixing it, or was worried I would become dependent on it if she let me keep it. I approve of her decision.

God dammit, I want my cuddly toys (Never called them soft toys as a child) back. I don't care that I'm 20! I remember sleeping better with them by my side anyway.

Still had them all until I was about 12, too...

I have a stuffed puppet/dog named Wrinkles. Also another stuffed dog named Shep. Those were the ones that I've held onto since I was a baby. They always get a place of honor in my room.

@fargodog: No, you really don't need to grow up. Some things are meant to be held onto, in my opinion.

I have a bunch of stuffed animals, but none of them are really from my childhood. One thing that is from my childhood though is my replica starfish, and I love that thing to death.

It was a dog called Jesse. She had a black patch over one eye and collar. She was my best friend for years. Don't remember what happened to her. She was the best.

I just was never one of those kids to get attached to those kinds of things. Now my brother, he had a security blanket for YEARS, until it was quite literally a strand of fabric.

When I was very young, I had a complete set of three-foot, five-pound Winnie the Pooh characters. My father and I would often take one or two--I was always fond of Rabbit, and he of Tigger--and proceed to brutally and unrelentingly beat the tar out of one another in a sport which we entitled "The Hundred-Acre Wood Smackdown". The memory of still brings a rush of emotions and nostalgia...good times, good times.

My uncle gave me a teddy bear on the day I was born. The fur on his belly is very flattened now because I used him as a pillow at least until I was thirteen. He never had a name because I was too young to give him one when I got him. Tartan bow tie :D

I have a teddy bear, he doesn't have a name but the story of how i got him is interesting and goes as follows, one sunny day i was walking with my grandma from the park (I was like 3) and i was crying because i wanted an ice cream and she didn't buy me one, while i was walking and crying (Something i still continue to do to this day) my grandma bumped into a friend of her's who happened to be with her 9 or 10 year old daughter, the daughter saw me crying and gave me a little orange green and white teddy bear to cheer me up. A rather intresting story, just felt i'd share it

Yes, a little green bear with a hat I named Marlon. I had a lot of stuffed animals when I saw little. Most of them are lost or destroyed, but I still have Marlon. I actually dug him out of a bin and put him on my desk because of this thread. It brought back some pleasant memories.

I also had a big green dog I won at an arcade. I still have him to. He's just in my closet now, sitting on top of the box I keep spare computer parts in. I used to really like green. It was my favorite color, though at some point I started to favor orange over it.

Other than those 2, the only notable one was the little octopus named Inky. I lost him though :(
